PHENOMENON

Extended alphabet characters for Latin language, German or other European language are not
possible to show on the FL display.
(No alphabet characters comes out on the FL display even RDS broadcasts those characters.)

REASON

Extended alphabet characters are not existed in the program of the microprocessor(QU01).

CONTENT

Replace the old microprocessor (HU281JT00F) to the new one (HU281JT02
The new microprocessor shows converted common alphabet characters instead of extended
alphabet characters. (see examples bellow)

REMARK

This improvement has done in the production line after the LOT number “09” and later. Also
the service modification code has updated to “MZ02”. The lot number and the service
modification code are mentioned in the serial number label on the rear panel.
(ex. MZ02 xxxx09xxxx)

REMARK for Europe, Africa, Middle East and South America

Service code number of the microprocessor (4822 209 *****) at PCS has not changed by this
modification. Latest version microprocessor (HU281JT02F) is available by same service code
number.
