INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
MID STOP MODIFICATION
Mini Limit Switches
Model: Carwash
NOTE: It will be necessary to reset limits when
modification is complete. Refer to the wiring
instructions shipped with the modification.
REMOVING OLD LIMIT BRACKET:
1. Remove the ends of the grey wires running to the
auxiliary closed limit switch. (Lay the ends of the
wires off to the side for future connection)
2. Remove the ends of the yellow and orange wires
running to the auxiliary open limit switch. (Lay the
ends of the wire off to the side for future connection).
3. Remove the purple wire that runs from the
auxiliary open limit switch to #2 on the terminal block
and discard.
4. Loosen the screws holding the bracket on the
panel and remove the bracket from the box (Be sure
to leave the screws that held the bracket in place).
Once the bracket is out of the box, remove the
auxiliary open limit switch from the bracket. (Lay the
auxiliary open limit switch, the hardware that was
used to mount it off to the side for future application).
INSTALLING NEW DOUBLE SWITCH:
1. Locate the close limit switch and remove the ends
of the purple that are connected to the switch.
2. Remove the close limit switch from the box and
mount the new double switch in its place using the
same hardware.
3. Rewire the first switch (this is the new closed) with
the two wires just removed in step 1. The purple wire
coming from the wire nut goes to the C and the purple
wire coming from A1 on the contactor goes to NC.
DISCONNECT POWER AT THE FUSE BOX BEFORE
PROCEEDING. REMOVE THE OPERATOR FROM ITS
MOUNTED POSITION.
OPERATOR MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED AND
CONNECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL
ELECTRICAL CODES. NOTE: THE OPERATOR
SHOULD BE ON A SEPARATE FUSED LINE OF
ADEQUATE CAPACITY.
ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE MADE
BY A QUALIFIED INDIVIDUAL.
4. Rewire the second switch (this is the new auxiliary
closed) with the two grey wires removed in step 1 of
the REMOVING OLD LIMIT BRACKET instructions.
The grey wire coming from #10 on the terminal block
goes to the C and the grey wire coming from #1 on
the terminal block to the NC.
INSTALLING NEW LIMIT BRACKET:
1. Install the auxiliary open limit switch removed from
the old bracket in step 4 of the REMOVING OLD
LIMIT BRACKET instructions to the new bracket with
the original hardware.
2. Install the new bracket on the panel in the same
manner as the old bracket was removed.
3. Rewire the switch with the yellow and orange wire
removed in step 2 of the REMOVING OLD LIMIT
BRACKET instructions. The yellow wire coming from
#7 on the terminal block goes to the C and orange
wire coming from #1 on the terminal block goes to the
NC.
