INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FUNCTIONS:
The ARS works in tandem with the adjustable clutch to detect if a closing door meets an obstruction. If an obstruction. If an obstruction is met and causes the clutch to slip, the ARS will return the door to the full open position.

3. INSTALLING NEW RPM ROTATING CUP:
a. Install a new e-ring on the retaining ring groove
between the two threaded sections on the limit shaft.
b. Slide and thread the new RPM rotating cup onto the
end of shaft so that it lays against the new e-ring.
Ensure open side of cup is toward end of shaft.
c. Slide the shaft back into its original position and
secure in place with the hardware removed in step 1.
It may be necessary to rotate the cup on shaft so that
open slot lines up with sensor on board (refer to figure 1).
d. Reconnect the limit chain removed in step 1.
4. WIRE HARNESS CONNECTIONS:
a. Connect harness clip to the printed circuit board.
b. Connect the yellow wire from the ARS harness to #3
on the terminal block.
c. Connect the grey wire from the ARS harness to #10
on the terminal block.
d. Connect the red wire from the ARS harness to #2 on
the terminal block.
e. Connect the white wire from the ARS harness to #11
on the terminal block.

STEPS REFER TO THE ASSEMBLY DRAWING ON PAGE
2 AND THE WIRING DIAGRAM ON PAGE 3.
1. INSTALLING NEW BOARD:
a. Install the (3) new circuit board standoffs to the inside
of the electrical box.
b. Install and secure the new ARS printed circuit board
onto the standoffs.
2. DISASSEMBLE SHAFT:
a. Remove the master link from the limit chain, remove
the chain and place it aside.
b. Remove the e-ring and the shim washers from the
end of the limit shaft.
c. Pull shaft through flange bearing toward sprocket to
allow e-ring & cup installation.
DISCONNECT POWER AT THE FUSE BOX BEFORE
PROCEEDING. IF NECESSARY REMOVE THE OPERATOR FROM ITS MOUNTED POSITION.
