Before Using This Cell
Phone
• This cell phone supports LTE, GSM/GPRS,
and Wireless LAN Systems.
• Since this cell phone uses wireless signal,
it may not be able to use in a location
with no signal reception such as a tunnel,
underground, a building, an outdoor location
with weak or poor signal reception, or a
location outside of the LTE service areas.
Also this cell phone may not be able to
use on upper oors of high-rise apartments
or buildings, even if you can see no
obstructions around you. Please note that on
occasion, data communication may become
disconnected even when you are in a strongsignal area with 4 signal bars displayed while
you are not moving.
• Since this cell phone uses wireless signal,
there are possibilities that a third party
may intercept your telephone call. However,
LTE and GSM/GPRS systems support the
privacy function covering all telephone calls
automatically. Therefore, even a third party
intercepts your telephone call, the third party
can hear nothing but the noise.
• Because this cell phone conducts wireless
communication by transforming sound into
digital signal, the received sound may dier
from the actual one if the transmitted digital
signal cannot properly be restored according
to conditions such as moving into a poor
signal area.
• Regularly take a memo of the information
you registered in this cell phone or store it
in the external memories such as microSD
card or PC. Mobile operator assumes no
responsibility for any loss of your data caused
by malfunction, repair, change to a new model
or any other reasons.
• Even though the display on this cell phone
applies advanced technique, part of the dots
may not light up as well as those always-on
light. Please note that this is a feature of the
display. It is not a malfunction.
• When free space is not enough in microSD
card or in this cell phone, the performance
of the activated applications may become
improper. In that case, delete the saved data.
• Mobile operator does not guarantee any
performances of the optional accessories you
purchase at stores.

• The same as a PC, when you install an
application, this cell phone's performance may
become unstable, or your location information
and personal information registered on
this cell phone might be sent to outside
via Internet and therefore cause fraudulent
use. To avoid this, make sure to conrm the
source and the operating conditions of the
application before installation.
• This cell phone uses only nano UIM card.
Bring your nano UIM card, or miniUIM card to
a Shop to exchange it.
• This cell phone automatically performs
communication for some functions, for
example, to synchronize data, check the
latest software or maintain connection with
the server. Additionally, when you download
applications or watch video etc, a large
amount of packet communication charges are
executed. Therefore, it is highly recommended
to use packet pack or packet at-rate service.
• Depending on the applications or service you
use, packet communication charge may be
applied even in Wi-Fi
• This cell phone does not support public mode
(drive mode).

Handling and Care
General Usage Guidelines
■ KF1919
is waterproof/dustproof; however, do
not allow water (drinking water, perspiration,
seawater, urine of pet animals, etc.) or dust to
enter this cell phone or come in contact with
accessories or optional devices.
The adapter, TV antenna cable, and Nano
UIM card do not have waterproofness/
dustproofness function. Do not use them in
places with high humidity such as a bath or
where rain may get it wet. If you carry this
cell phone close to your body, moisture from
sweat may corrode the internal parts causing
a malfunction. Note that malfunctions
deemed to be caused by water are not
covered by the warranty or impossible to
repair. Since these malfunctions are not
under warranty, even when repair is possible,
it will be done at the user's expense.

■ Clean this cell phone with a dry soft cloth
(such as a cloth for eyeglasses).
• Rubbing it roughly with a dry cloth may
scratch the display.
• Drops of water or dirt left on the display
may cause stains.
• If this cell phone is wiped with alcohol,
paint thinner, benzine or detergent, the
printing may disappear or color may fade.
■ Keep the connector contacts clean with a
dry cotton swab.
Clean the connector contacts with a dry
cotton swab to prevent contacts from
getting dirty which can result in intermittent
connections.
Be careful when cleaning the connector
contacts.
■ Do not place this cell phone near air
conditioner outlets.
The rapid change in temperature may cause
condensation, causing internal corrosion and
malfunction.
■ Do not apply excessive force to this cell
phone.
Putting this cell phone into a tightly packed
bag or sitting on this cell phone in your
pocket might damage the display or internal
circuit board resulting in a malfunction.
Also, keeping an external device connected
to the external connection terminal might
damage the connector resulting in a
malfunction.
■ Do not rub or scrape the display with a
metal piece etc.
The display may get scratched and it may
cause malfunction or damage.
■ Read the instruction manual supplied with
optional devices.
■ Do not drop this cell phone or subject it to
shock.

■ While microSD card is being used, do not

phone.

■ Do not bring magnetic cards, etc. near to

Magnetic data in cash cards, credit cards,
telephone cards, or oppy disks, etc. may be
erased.
■ Do not bring magnetized objects near to this

cell phone might cause false operation.

■ The internal battery is a consumable item.
Battery life varies depending on usage
conditions, etc., but it is time to change
internal battery when the usage time has
become extremely short even though the
internal battery has been fully charged. For
replacement of the internal battery, contact
"Technical Inquiries & Repairs" on the back
cover of this manual or mobile operator
specied repair oce.
■ Charge the battery in an area within the
proper ambient temperature range (5℃ to
35℃ ).
■ The operation time provided by the internal
battery varies by the operating environment
and internal battery's deterioration.
■ The internal battery may swell out as
it comes to near the end of its lifetime
depending on the usage conditions.
Note that malfunctions deemed to be caused
by battery swell are not covered by the
warranty or impossible to repair.
Since these malfunctions are not under
warranty, even when repair is possible, it will
be done at the user's expense.
■ Be careful especially about the following
points when storing this cell phone.
• Keeping under the state of the full charge
(right after charging ends)
• The battery has run out (this cell phone
cannot power on)
They may cause the internal battery
performance to be degraded or its lifetime to
be shortened.
It is recommended that you store the battery
with the remaining battery level of about
40% as a guide.

■ Do not put excessive force on the Nano UIM
card when inserting into or removing from
this cell phone.
