Topic

The color registration shift might occur depending on the operating environment for the machine in the environment
with high temperature and high humidity. The following changes were made in order to control the slippage between
the drive roller and the primary transfer belt at high humidity.

Content of Changes

1. The diameter of the secondary transfer roller was increased in order to increase the primary transfer belt
drive force to control the slippage.

2. The shape of the transfer roller gear was changed in order to cope with the increased drive torque after the
change above.

3. The protection sheet for the spare part secondary transfer roller was changed to plastic film after the
change above. (The protective sheet is applied since the ribs at the neighboring guide plate may contact.
The protection shall be improved for the roller with larger diameter after the sheet was changed to the
film.)

4. Since the process speed should be readjusted when the old parts were replaced with the new one after the
change above, a leaflet describing the change of the U053 (Setting the adjustment of the motor speed) is
now bundled in the new parts (Nos.1 and 2) and in the MK-895A.
