Model
FS-C8020MFP, FS-C8025MFP
Topic
Please note the following points when handling the developing unit.
Notes
Please do not store or transport the developer unit in inclined or standing-up state. Please carry the developer unit and the main unit horizontally without applying any shock or vibration when moving.
If developer unit is stored or transported in inclined or standing-up state, the developer is gathered at one side in the developer unit. Also, flow of the developer may be blocked by the developing powder (A in the following figure-1) clogged up in the gap between the magnet roller and the frame of the developer unit and then the developer (B) may overflow over the sleeve roller.

Field Measures
Before replacing the developer units (DV-895Y/M/C/K) for service or when abnormal image due to the developer leakage was recognized immediately after transport of the main unit/developer units, please implement the following procedures.
(1) Remove the developer unit. (2) When the developer leaks, collect the overflowed developer to the inside of the developer unit by rotating the
sleeve roller reversely (in the reverse direction of the blue arrow on the sleeve roller in the fig-1 above).
(Attention) Please take care since the developer may overflow from the developer unit and contaminate its
surroundings. (3) Shake the developer unit while holding it horizontally. (4) Make sure that the developer is not overflowing even if the sleeve roller is normally (in the same direction of
the blue arrow on the sleeve roller in the fig-1 above) rotated.
(5) Install the developer unit into the main frame and confirm that the output image is not abnormal.
If the abnormal image due to the developer leakage was recognized, repeat the procedure (1) and after once again.
