Subject Toner Consumption for the T7 Control (For KME and TA only)

Topic

Please note that more toner may be consumed with the control described below when the machine is starting up
after power ON or restarting from the sleep mode.

Phenomenon

If low coverage print is detected when the power is turned ON with the fuser temperature of 50 degrees or higher, or
when the machine recovers from the sleep mode, the T7 toner disposal mode is executed at every five pages. Then,
the toner band width for disposal is one max. until the machine enters the sleep mode next time.

If the bias calibration is executed at cumulative 80 pages of prints after power ON or restart from the sleep mode,
the toner band width for disposal will return to the normal value.

Corrective Measures

The phenomenon can be cleared by the engine firmware below.
Please upgrade the engine firmware to the version below or later depending on the user’s operating conditions.
