PHENOMENON:
The print background is completely blue
(see Picture_1_Failure_Cyan).
CAUSE:
Lack of high voltage of the MC-roller in the DK 590 / DK-591 for the
corresponding color cyan. The HV contact spring in the HV bracket
for the corresponding color is stuck or has no contact with the
connector at the High Voltage PCB and disables the transfer of
power.
ACTION:
By cross-exchange of DK-590C with e.g. DK-590M exclude, that the
error moves with the DK. If the error keeps being in the same color
blue, check / adjust bow spring for cyan (see Picture_2_Bow-Spring).
The upper curve of the bow spring must be positioned above the
small plastic fixation. (See Picture_3_Spring_Fixation). To gain
access to the bow spring, you have to remove the PCB HIGH
VOLTAGE (See Service Manual).
Important: The HV contact springs have to be located correctly
aligned on the contact links on the High Voltage PWB. If necessary,
adjust, tighten and constantly check them while the installation of the
High Voltage PCB (see Picture_4_HV_Contact-Spring).
