Noise from the TR-540/560 and image print failure
Creation Date: 14/08/2009
Phenomenon • Noise may arise from the TR-540/560 at paper feed section 2.
• Image print failure may occur.
Cause Waste toner can not be collected due to a driving failure of the gears at the base image R at the
TR-540/560. Under this condition the toner gets caked on the inside of the TR-540/560.
Solution The following changes have been made to the TR-540/560:
1. Temporary solutions:
1.1. The driving motion of the gears will be checked during the production process.
1.2. Apply “molykote EM-50LP“ grease at the shaft of the small gear at the front of the TR-540/560.
2. Permanent solution: The thickness of the mount positioning boss at the base image R has been increased.
