Colour position shift/Failure to adjust the colour registration

Phenomenon 1 The colour position may shift a few days after manually adjusting the colour registration.

Cause In case the auto colour registration is executed after the manual adjustment, the auto

adjustment value is affected. When the auto adjustment is executed after that, the value
difference between the auto and manual adjustment may result in the shift of the colour position.

Auto colour adjustment timing

During power-up: At 250 pages of intermittent printing.
During restart from sleep mode: At 500 pages of continuous printing.

Solution Adjust the colour registration with the auto colour registration adjustment, which is incorporated

in the colour calibration. Perform the manual colour registration adjustment.

1. Execute the color calibration from the operation panel. Menu Adjust/Maintenance

2. Execute the color registration (Details) if necessary. (Do

not execute the manual adjustment rstly)

Phenomenon 2 The manual colour registration adjustment from the operation panel may not be performed.

Cause In case the colour registration adjustment value exceeds the adjustable range of 0 to 255, the

maximum value of 255 will be applied to the colour registration chart. As a result the colour
registration can not be adjusted manually.

Solution Adjust the colour registration with the auto colour registration adjustment, which is incorporated

in the colour calibration. Perform the manual colour registration adjustment.

1. Perform the colour registration adjustment by executing

the Prescribe command at the right.

2. Execute the color registration (Details) if necessary. (Do

not execute the manual adjustment rstly)
