Topic
When the DP rises and the heights of the front and the rear sides differ depending on the operation conditions of
users, the nip timing for original from the DP conveying roller to the DP exit roller might be shifted and the original
might be bent.
Accordingly, the bent original is slightly shifted when passing through the nipped position of the DP conveying roller
and the scanned characters might be blurred at approx. 35 mm from the paper trailing edge.
(The phenomenon above tends to occur when the original is thin paper due to its low stiffness.)

The guide (No.1) to prevent the original from shifting were newly registered as service part.

Release the hooks on the machine
front side by using a tool such as a
flathead screwdriver.

Remove the scanner guide.
[Note]
Make sure not to lose the spring (x2)
between the scanner guide and the
frame.

Remove the pulley (x2) on the DP exit
side.
[Note]
When removing the pulley, first
remove the one from the wide
aperture (circled in red).
Attach 2 pcs. of the guide (No.1) to the
scanner guide.
[Note]
When attaching the guide (No.1), first
attach the one to the narrow attaching
hole (circled in blue).

Reattach the scanner guide by first
attaching the machine rear side and
then the machine front side while
paying attention to the spring.
[Note]
At this time, reattach the scanner
guide so that the guide (No.1) will be
behind the black resin guide.
If the guide is in front of the guide, the
paper path is blocked, which causes
paper jam.
