This Features & Functions Guide provides an overview of vehicle operation and equipment. It is not
meant as a substitute for your Owner ’s Manual. Your Owner’s Manual contains specic information
about the operation and maintenance of your Kia vehicle, including safety information, cautions and

DRIVER’S CONTROLS - EXTERIOR
Double-Turn Unlocks All
Unlock all doors by turning the key toward the rear of the vehicle twice
within 4 seconds. Turn toward the front of the vehicle once to relock
all doors.

DRIVER’S CONTROLS - INTERIOR
Power Windows
Auto UP/DOWN:Press power window switch to second detent

position and release to completely raise/lower the window. Press again
momentarily to stop.
Lockout Switch:Located on driver’s door panel, press to disable
passenger’s power windows.
Central Door Lock Button
Located on the driver and passenger door panels, press the front portion
of this button to lock all doors, press the rear portion to unlock all doors.
Power Heated Outside Mirrors
Move the mirror selection switch E to the L or R position for the left or right
mirror and use the mirror adjustment control
Automatic Tilting Outside Mirrors*
When the transaxle is in the reverse position, the outside mirrors will

automatically tilt downward to improve the driver’s rearward visibility.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Warning Lights: The warning lights and indicators alert you to situations that may need attention.
Please refer to your Owner’s Manual for more information on the function of all the warning lights.
– Safety Belt Warning: Driver’s safety belt
is not fastened.
– Stop/Taillight Failure Warning: Indicates
a malfunction in the stop/taillight circuit.
– Trunk Lid Warning: The trunk lid is not
fully closed.
– CRUISE: Indicates the cruise control is
currently enabled.
– SET: The cruise control function is “ON.”
– Low Tire Pressure: One or more tires
are under-infl ated.
– ABS Warning: Indicates a potential problem with the
Anti-lock Brake System.
– Air Bag Warning: Air bag system is malfunctioning.
– ESC (Electronic Stability Control)*: System is enabled

at engine start up and light illuminates for 3 seconds.

– ESC OFF*: Illuminates if ESC button is pushed to turn

system “OFF.”
– Oil Pressure Warning: Indicates low oil pressure.
– High Beam Indicator: High beam lights are “ON.”
– Front Fog Lights: Indicates the front fog lights are on.
– Parking Brake/Fluid Warning: Brake fl uid level is low
or parking brake is engaged.
– Charging System Warning: The electrical charging
system is malfunctioning.
– Door Ajar: One of the doors is not fully closed.
Illuminates for three seconds at engine start up. TPMS is
malfunctioning if the light stays on.
– Immobilizer Indicator*: Illuminates when immobilizer key is turned
to the “ON” position to start the engine.
– Check Engine: May indicate a problem with the emission control
system.
Icons listed below are displayed in the center of instrument
cluster between the tachometer and speedometer:
– Low Fuel: There is approximately 2.3 gallons or less of fuel remaining.
– Door Open Indicator: Position light indicates the corresponding
door that is ajar.
– Low Washer Fluid*: The washer fl uid tank is nearly empty.
– Low Tire Pressure Indicator: Light indicates position of the under-
infl ated tire(s) on the vehicle.

Engine Temperature Gauge: Shows the temperature of the engine coolant. If the indicator nears the “H” position
on the gauge, it indicates an overheating engine. Do not drive your vehicle in this condition.

Fuel Gauge:Displays approximate amount of fuel remaining in the vehicle’s fuel tank.

Odometer/Tripmeter: The odometer indicates the total distance the vehicle has been driven.
The Tripmeter located in the left of the steering column, can record distance traveled, press
TRIP button H to select tripmeter A or B. Press RESET button I for more than 1 second to
reset the tripmeter currently displayed to “0.”
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
TPMS detects loss of tire pressure that reaches specifi c limits. The system will turn on a warning lamp to alert the
driver of a tire(s) with a low pressure condition. Low Tire Pressure Position Indicator alerts the driver to the position
of the tire(s) that are under-infl ated. If the letters
Monitoring System is not functioning properly. Consult your dealer for service. For proper maintenance, safety, and
maximum fuel economy, you must always maintain recommended tire infl ation pressures and stay within the load limits
and weight distribution recommended for your vehicle.

STEERING WHEEL / PANEL / STALK CONTROLS
Instrument Panel Dimmer
The Instrument Panel Dimmer
column. When the parking lights or headlights are on, rotate the
control knob to adjust the instrument panel display brightness to the
desired level.

NOTE: Detent on dimmer will turn on Map and Dome light with lights ON only.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)*
The Electronic Stability Control monitors information from various
vehicle sensors, then compares the driver’s commands with the
behavior of the vehicle. If an unstable condition occurs, ESC
intervenes within fractions of a second via the engine computer and
brake system. To turn the ESC OFF, press ESC button. To turn ESC
ON, press again. System defaults to “ON” position at start.
Power Adjustable Pedals*
With the ignition in the “ON” position and shift lever in PARK, push ▲
switch portion to move pedals up towards the driver or
to move pedals down away from the driver.
