Thismobilitydevicewasdesignedforpersonswhoseability towalkisimpaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheir eyesightandphysicallyandmentallyabletooperatean electricmobilitydevice.

1.4Indications

Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthe followingindications:
Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithin thescopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomove withinone’ sownfourwalls.
Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertoget somefreshairduringashortwalkortoreachthose placesgenerallytobefoundatclosedistancetothe dwellingandwhereeverydaybusinessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexterior areasisadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsis nolongerpossibleonaccountofthedisability,yetproper operationofanelectromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
Contraindications
Therearenocontraindicationsknown.
1.5Typeclassication
ThisvehiclehasbeenclassiedaccordingtoEN12184asa classBmobilityproduct(forindoorandoutdoorareas).It isthereforecompactandagileenoughforindoorareas,but alsoabletoovercomemanyobstaclesinoutdoorareas.

1.6Regulations

ThevehiclewassuccessfullytestedaccordingtoGerman andinternationalstandardsastoitssafety.Itsatises therequirementsaccordingtoRoHS2011/65/EU,REACH 1907/2006/ECandDINEN12184includingEN1021-2and ISO7176–14.Itwasalsotestedsuccessfullyaccordingto EN60529IPX4astoitsresistancetospraywater,andis

thereforewellsuitedforweatherconditionssuchastypical Europeanweatherconditions.Whenequippedwithan appropriatelightingsystem,thevehicleissuitableforuse onpublicroads.

Onlyuseamobilitydevicewhenitisinperfectworking order.Otherwise,youmightputyourselfandothersatrisk.

Themaximumloadcapacitythatisstatedinthe technicaldataonlystatesthatthesystemisdesigned forthismassintotal.However ,thisdoesnotmean thatonecansitapersonwiththisbodyweightin themobilitydevicewithoutrestrictions.Attention mustbepaidtothebodyproportions,suchas height,weightdistribution,abdominalbelt,leg andcalfstrapandseatdepth.Thesefactorshave astronginuenceondrivingfeaturessuchastilt stabilityandtraction.Thepermissibleaxleloadsin particularmustbeadheredto(referto11Technical Data,page114 ).Itmaypossiblybenecessarytocarry outadaptationstotheseatsystem.
6.2Beforedrivingforthersttime
Beforeyoutakeyourrsttrip,youshouldfamiliarizeyourself wellwiththeoperationofthemobilitydeviceandwithall operatingelements.Takeyourtimetotestallfunctions anddrivingmodes.

Thewheelchaircontrolssystemisttedwithanoverload protection.
Ifthedriveisseverelyoverloadedoveralongperiodoftime (forexample,whendrivingupasteephill)andespecially whentheambienttemperatureishigh,thecontrolssystem couldoverheat.Inthiscase,thewheelchairperformanceis graduallyreduceduntilitcomestoahalt.Thestatusdisplay showsacorrespondingerrorcode(refertotheusermanual foryourremote).Byswitchingthepowersupplyoffand backonagain,theerrorcodeisclearedandthecontrols systemisswitchedbackon.Itcanhowevertakeuptove minutesuntilthecontrolssystemhascooleddownenough forthedrivetorestorefullperformanceagain.

Trytochargethebatteriesalwaysbeforeyoureachthe redLEDrange. Thelast3LED(tworedandoneorange)meana remainingcapacityofabout15%.
DrivingwithashingredLED’smeansanextremestress forthebatteryandshouldbeavoidedundernormal circumstances.
WhenonlyoneredLEDisashing,theBattery Safefeatureisenabled.Fromthistime,speedand accelerationisreduceddrastically.Itwillallowyouto movethemobilitydeviceslowlyoutofadangerous situationbeforetheelectronicnallycutsoff.Thisis deepdischargingandshouldbeavoided.
