Safety instructions
Intended use
Children must not operate the machine!
Do not use any spray cans with ammable content near to the
paper folder!
Do not use any ammable cleaning agents.
Please read these operating instructions before using the machine and please follow the safety instructions. The operating instructions must be kept available at all times.
Do not use the device if the power cable or mains plug is damaged or if the connection at the wall socket is not stable. Make sure that the power cable does not get crushed while you are using the device and that it cannot be damaged in any other way. Place the cable so that no one will trip over it. Do not place the power cable under strain, i.e. do not pull it tight.

Long hair can become entangled in cutting head!
Take care of ties and other loose pieces of clothing!

Disconnect from the mains if not used for a
longer period. Cover the machine.

machine! Do not perform any repairs on the papier folder!

1. Installation
Mount the top fold plate (long plate) as shown on the picture. Lock into position by knocking gentle in the direction of the arrow.
Top fold plate must lock into position correctly.
Attach the lower fold plate (short plate). Connect the cables to the machine.

Position the display in the middle with the
adjusting knob (A).
2. Operation
Open the paper guides by loosening the 2 screws and push to the sides.
Do not fold newly copied or newly printed paper. The paper must be cold and the toner dry. Wait at least 24 hours for offset printing to dry.
Only fold at, plane paper.
Do not fold wet paper.
Fan out the paper stack.

Operation
Place the paper lengthways on the paper feed table in the middle. Push the paper as far as possible.
Make sure the paper lies square and touches the front buffer.
Gently secure the paper left and right using the paper guides. Tighten the knurled screws. (A3, B4, A4, B5, A5, B6 formats are detected automatically)

Press the lever down paper feed table returns to the top position.
The paper must be exactly stacked.
Apply the side guides (A) when using a large paper size.

Choose from the following fold types:
Press the TEST button two test folds are carried out. At the end of the test, there is a beep. Check the folds.
Press "START/STOP". The device begins the continuous folding process. If you wish to interrupt or stop the process, press the "START/STOP" button again. Once restarted, the Total counter will continue counting. If the Preset counter is required, change this accordingly (see Page 28).
Select the required fold type.

6. Press the "TEST" button. If the folded paper is OK, continue with point 7. If not, readjust as necessary (see Pages 18 - 21, Section 5. - 7.).
7. Press "START/STOP". The device begins the continuous folding process.

4. Setting the paper length manually (special formats):
• The automatic settings cannot be used for special formats. The required dimensions must be input manually.
• For a standard fold and also for special formats, enter the settings as follows:
1. Press the "Special formats
" button.
2. Select the fold type which comes closest to the required special fold.
3. Press "a" and then "b".
Note: If you have selected the single fold,
you can only set "b".

4. Input the required length "a" in the numeric eld and press "enter".
5. Input the required length "b" in the numeric eld and press "enter".
6. Press the "TEST" button. If the folded paper is OK, continue with point 7.
If not, readjust as necessary
(see Pages 18 - 21, Section 5. - 7.).
7. Press "START/STOP". The device begins the continuous folding process.

5. Skew adjustments
If the paper ejected has been folded askew, you can adjust the paper feed using the adjustment knob.
Turn the adjustment knob to the right (1) if the rear side is travelling to the right. Turn the adjustment knob to the left (2) if the rear side is travelling to the left.
The pin at the mark level (slot) gives the basic setting.

6. Fine-tuning the fold position
You are in the "Settings
" menu.
1. Fine-tuning "a"
Set the required fold position using the red "+ / -" buttons.
2. Fine-tuning "b"
Set the required fold position using the blue "+ / -" buttons.
3. Press the "TEST" button. If the folded paper is OK, continue with point 4. If not, readjust as necessary (point 1 or 2).
4. Press "START/STOP". The device begins the continuous folding process.

7. Fine-tuning using the adjustment knob (top fold plate 1)
Use the adjustment knob to ne-tune, as described in the following table. When you press the "TEST" or "START/ STOP" button, the paper stops automatically compensate for any spindle play before the sheets are folded (accuracy).

10. Saving a special fold position
1. In the "Settings

2. Press "Fold Pattern Memory".
3. Select the number that you want to save.

between the fold patterns. You can save up to 12.
4. Press and hold down the "Save" button until you hear 4 beeps (approx. 3 seconds).

11. Retrieving saved fold patterns
1. Press the "Fold Pattern Memory

button.
2. Use the
/ buttons to scroll between the saved fold patterns. Select the required number and press "OK".
3. Check whether the paper size, fold type, speed and memory number are correct.
4. Press the "TEST" button. If the folded paper is OK, continue with point 5. If not, readjust as necessary (point 1 - 4).
5. Press "START/STOP". The device begins the continuous folding process.

12. Deleting fold patterns
You are in the "Settings
" menu.
1. Press the

2. Press "Fold Pattern Memory".

3. Select the memory number that you wish to delete.
4. Press and hold down the "Delete

until you hear 4 beeps (approx. 3 seconds).

2. Press the "Clear" button to reset the Total counter to "0". Conrm by pressing "Enter".

3. When the Total counter is selected, only the counter is shown on the counter display.

You are in the "Settings
" menu.
1. Press the "Num Key".
2. Use the number keys to input the number of sheets to be folded and press "Enter".
3. While "Preset counter" mode is activated, counter and "sub" are displayed on the counter display.

15. Interval mode
You are in the "Settings
" menu.
1. Press the "Num Key".
2. Press the "Interval" button.
3. Press the "Set up Sheets" button. Once you have input the required number,
conrm by pressing "Enter".
Repeat the same process for "Set Interval,
Second" and "Set up Sets".
4. When the interval mode is activated, 3 values, the number of sheets processed and the number of sets, are shown on the counter display.

16. Speed
You are in the "Settings
" menu.
1. Use the arrow buttons to set the speed (5 levels).
2. Press and hold down the "Speed eld" for
3 seconds to access the "Special" modes
SP1 - SP3.
SP1: The machine works at the lowest
speed in so-called "Mute mode" and is
particularly suitable for thinner paper. For single, letter and double parallel fold, this mode specically offers you a higher quantity.
SP2: We recommend this mode for thicker
paper. The machine works at medium speed and can be used for all fold types.
SP3: For A4 and smaller formats, this mode
offers you the highest quantity for the following fold types: Single, letter and double parallel fold.

1. In the "Settings " menu, press the button.
2. Press "Setting".
3. Press "Double Feed Detection" to enable (On) or disable (Off) this. This not only detects different paper thicknesses and double feeds (2 or more sheets), but also a different printed image (error code E-52).
Last Operation memory On / Off:
When "On", the machine saves the speed,
paper size and fold pattern if the machine is stopped during an operation and switched
off at the mains (Preset and Total counter is
not saved).
Cleaning Alert On / Off:
After 5,000 folded sheets of paper,
a recommendation to clean the paper
extractor, all 4 folding rollers, the paper feed
and paper ejection sensor appears on the
display (see Pages 35 - 39).
Press "OK" to reset.

17. Enabling/disabling double feed detection

Use of double feed detection
Notes: Make sure the double feed detection is activated. It responds to all the fold types.
1. Perform test folding before starting actual operation.
2. Start folding operation as usual.
When the machine stops based on double feed detection error (error code E-52 / E-53)
1. Remove the paper ejected by double feed.
2. Press the error release button to release the error (E-52 / E-53). Then, the machine will be able to restart its operation.

18. Language selection
To change the display language, you need to access Service mode. Please note that factory settings can also be changed in this menu. Other changes should only be made by expert personnel or the IDEAL customer service.
1. In the "Settings
" menu, press the
button.
2. Press "Version".
3. Press and hold down the upper right corner for 3 seconds to access Service mode
(briey reference both fold plates).

7. The three folding rollers and the separator
are wearing parts and must be exchanged when they are worn (No. 8330 001).
8. Remove both fold plates and any paper
debris. Remove paper debris from the machine, making sure no debris is left in the paper guides. Pay attention to the cables.
9. Wipe the rubber on the three folding rollers
with ductor order no. 9000 632
- the folding roller on the right turns all the
rollers.

2 of the 4 folding rollers can be removed, cleaned and even replaced (without tools). Once the folding rollers are removed, we recommend also cleaning the sensors immediately (see Page 39, Section 21. Cleaning sensors).
The paper feed roller and both fold plates are already removed, as described on the previous pages.
1. Unlock the two locking levers (left and right).

Clean the rubber on the 4 folding rollers with roller cleaner (order no. 9000 632).
3. Insert and lock the folding rollers again in reverse order.

E-03 There is no paper in the feeder or the
paper is not activating the paper feed sensor.
Paper feed slip occurred. Reset the paper and restart the operation.
E-04 Paper feed sensor is dirty. Clean the paper feed sensor.

E-05 Paper jam occurred near the paper feed
sensor.
Remove the paper and restart the operation.
E-10 Paper jam in the top or bottom fold plate. Take out both fold plates and remove
the jammed paper.
