Setting your ICOM IC-7610

for use with an Amplifier

The ICOM IC-7610 is an excellent transceiver. When you interface an IC-7610 with other
equipment, specifically a Linear Amplifier, you must make some adjustments to some of
the menu options in the radio to allow the transceiver and amplifier to be smoothly
integrated.

For the IC-7610:

DX Engineering recommends you set both the HF and 50M Delay settings to 15 msec.
Further, we also recommend setting the CW waveform rise time to 6 msec:

These settings will prevent hot-switching of your amplifier and provide smooth keying.
