Offering breakthrough performance, ease of use and excellent output quality,
the HP Color LaserJet 4600 series printers are HP’s first range of printers to employ
the in-line technology. Four front-loading toner cartridges are aligned one on top
of the other, which deliver colour to several media types in a single pass.

As a result, the HP Color LaserJet 4600 series printers print four times faster as compared
to traditional colour laser processing which requires a separate pass for cyan,
magenta, yellow and black.

Designed to meet demanding colour printing needs, the HP Color LaserJet 4600 series
printers generate the first page within 17 seconds and print up to 16 ppm on A4 size
documents in both colour and black & white.

A 400 MHz processor and 96/160 MB RAM (160 MB RAM

for 4600dtn) ensure that the printer is able to process print jobs

efficiently. In order to meet the business needs of users,

this range of printers is expandable up to 512 MB RAM with

the option of a 10 GB hard disk. The HP Color LaserJet 4600

series printers have a duty cycle of 85,000 pages-per-month

to meet high performance and high volume demands.

text, bold graphics and vivid images for all business documents.

HP print cartridge technologies such as chemically-grown toner

and dynamic EP adjustments throughout the cartridge life

together with print technologies such as colour trapping,

adaptive half-toning and ‘direct to paper’ transfer ensure

efficient and quality printing.

Instead of using ground toner with separate fusing oil,

HP’s second generation chemically grown spherical toner

uses a fuser release agent in each toner particle resulting

in uniform distribution of colours.

The HP Color LaserJet 4600 series printers are easy to use and
operate. The graphical control panel displays text and graphics
simultaneously and provides up to four lines of text when further
assistance is needed.

In addition, the front panel access and simple paper path enables
users to perform maintenance such as clearing of paper jams and
replacement of print cartridges easily.

Facilitating storage purposes, the cabinet/stand option
provides convenience to users as the printer can be easily
moved and placed anywhere in the office when the need arises.

HP Smart Print Supplies are designed to improve print quality,
productivity and simplify supplies ordering and replacement
for users.

Second-generation spherical toner and improved pigments
as well as gloss properties of toner result in wider colour gamut
and appearance.

Smart chip technology embedded in each cartridge allows
for adjustments to electrophotographic system throughout
the life of cartridge to ensure consistent quality throughout
the life of the supplies.

HP Smart Supplies also feature supplies status monitoring
via control panel and proactive supplies management with
email alerts.

The HP Color LaserJet 4600 series printers provide complete convenience to users as these printers are able
to handle a wide range of media weights and sizes.

With an input capacity of 600 sheets, the multi-purpose tray and the feeder tray come standard for all
models. The multi-purpose tray (Tray 1) has a 100-sheet capacity and handles media sizes ranging from
3 x 5” to 8.5 x 14”. The feeder tray (Tray 2) holds up to 500 sheets and manages media sizes ranging
from 5.83 x 8.27” to 8.5 x 14”.

Other options include a second feeder tray (Tray 3—optional on 4600 and 4600dn), which may be
included to meet the printing needs of users and the auto-duplex unit (standard on 4600dn and 4600dtn,
not available for 4600), which reduces paper costs for users by printing on both sides of the paper.
With an output capacity of 250 sheets, the printer has a simple paper path design that reduces paper
jams and enables users to manage the printer efficiently.

The HP Color LaserJet 4600 series printers accept media sizes such as A4, letter, legal, executive and
no. 10 envelopes, and media types such as paper (plain, glossy and recycled), envelopes, transparencies,
labels and card stock.

The high input capacity of 1,100 sheets (100-sheet multi-purpose tray and two 500-sheet feeder trays)
of the HP Color LaserJet 4600dtn means that users will spend less time managing the printer, hence resulting
in better office productivity.
