Important Information

MAP DATA INFORMATION: One of the goals of
Garmin is to provide customers with the most complete
and accurate cartography that is available to us at a
reasonable cost. We use a combination of governmental
and private data sources, which we identify in product
literature and copyright messages displayed to the
consumer. Virtually all data sources contain some
inaccurate or incomplete data. In some countries,
complete and accurate map information is either not
available or is prohibitively expensive.

The California Electronic Waste Recycling Act of
2003 requires the recycling of certain electronics. For
more information on the applicability to this product,

Caring for the Unit

The case is constructed of high quality materials and
does not require user maintenance, except cleaning.

Cleaning the Case

Clean the unit’s outer casing (except for the screen)
using a cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution
and then wipe dry. Avoid chemical cleaners and
solvents that may damage plastic components.

Cleaning the Screen

The unit’s lens is coated with a special anti-reective

coating that is sensitive to skin oils, waxes and abrasive
cleaners. Cleaners containing ammonia, alcohol,
abrasives, or anti-grease detergents will harm the anti-

reective coating. It is important to clean the lens using
an eyeglass lens cleaner (that is specied as safe for
anti-reective coatings) and a clean, lint-free cloth.

Water Immersion

The unit is waterproof to IEC Standard 60529 IPX7.
It can withstand immersion in 1 meter of water for 30
minutes. Prolonged submersion can cause damage to

the unit. After submersion, be certain to wipe and air
dry the unit before reuse.

Declaration of Conformity

Hereby, Garmin declares that this product is in
compliance with the essential requirements and other
relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC. To view

Limited Warranty

This Garmin product is warranted to be free from
defects in materials or workmanship for one year from
the date of purchase. Within this period, Garmin will,
at its sole option, repair or replace any components that
fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be
made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor,
provided that the customer shall be responsible for any
transportation cost. This warranty does not apply to: (i)
cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents;
(ii) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product
damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or
workmanship; (iii) damage caused by accident, abuse,

misuse, water, ood, re, or other acts of nature

or external causes; (iv) damage caused by service
performed by anyone who is not an authorized service
provider of Garmin; or (v) damage to a product that has

been modied or altered without the written permission

of Garmin. In addition, Garmin reserves the right to
refuse warranty claims against products or services that
are obtained and/or used in contravention of the laws
of any country.

This product is intended to be used only as a travel
aid and must not be used for any purpose requiring
precise measurement of direction, distance, location
or topography. Garmin makes no warranty as to the
accuracy or completeness of map data in this product.

Devices purchased in the United States or Canada must
be returned to the Garmin service center in the United
Kingdom, the United States, Canada, or Taiwan for

NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE
ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Garmin retains the exclusive right to repair or replace
(with a new or newly-overhauled replacement product)
the device or software or offer a full refund of the
purchase price at its sole discretion. SUCH REMEDY
SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE
REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY.

To obtain warranty service, contact your local Garmin
authorized dealer or call Garmin Product Support for
shipping instructions and an RMA tracking number.
Securely pack the device and a copy of the original
sales receipt, which is required as the proof of purchase
for warranty repairs. Write the tracking number clearly
on the outside of the package. Send the device, freight
charges prepaid, to any Garmin warranty service
station.

Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased
through online auctions are not eligible for warranty

la plus complète et la plus précise disponible à un
prix raisonnable. Nos données proviennent à la

fois de sources gouvernementales et de sources

privées. Celles-ci sont identiées dans les différentes

documentations accompagnant nos produits et dans

les messages de copyright afchés à l’attention du
consommateur. La quasi-totalité des sources de
données contiennent une part d’informations inexactes

ou incomplètes. Dans certains pays, les informations
cartographiques complètes et exactes n’existent pas ou

Entretien de l’appareil

Le boîtier est constitué de matériaux de haute qualité
et ne nécessite aucune maintenance autre qu’un

nettoyage.

Nettoyage du boîtier

Nettoyez le boîtier externe de l’appareil (excepté
l’écran) avec un chiffon humide trempé dans une
solution détergente non abrasive, puis essuyez. Evitez

les nettoyants chimiques et les solvants qui risquent
d’endonettoyants chimiques et les solvants qui risquent
d’endommager les composants en plastique.

Nettoyage de l’écran

La lentille de l’appareil est recouverte d’un revêtement

antireet spécial sensible au sébum, aux cires et aux
nettoyants abrasifs. Les produits nettoyants à base

d’ammoniaque, d’alcool ou d’abrasifs ou d’agents

dégraissants peuvent endommager ce revêtement
antireet. Nettoyez la lentille à l’aide d’un produit pour
verres de lunettes (adapté aux revêtements antireet) et

d’un chiffon propre et non pelucheux.

Immersion dans l’eau

L’appareil est étanche, conformément à la norme
CEI 60529 IPX7. Il peut résister à une immersion dans
l’eau à 1 mètre pendant 30 minutes. Une immersion
prolongée risque d’endommager l’appareil. Après
immersion, essuyez l’appareil et laissez-le sécher à l’air

libre avant de l’utiliser.

Tutte le fonti di dati possono contenere dati imprecisi
e incompleti. In alcuni paesi, le informazioni su

Utilizzare l’unità solo per ricevere indicazioni
sul percorso da seguire. Non utilizzare l’unità per

scopi che richiedono misurazioni precise della
direzione, della distanza, della posizione o della

Manutenzione dell’unità

Il rivestimento è costruito con materiali di elevata

qualità e oltre alle normali operazioni di pulizia, non

necessita di manutenzione straordinaria.

Pulizia del rivestimento

Pulire il rivestimento dell’unità (escluso lo schermo),

utilizzando un panno inumidito con una soluzione
detergente non aggressiva, quindi asciugarlo
accuratamente. Evitare l’uso di detergenti chimici e
solventi che possono danneggiare i componenti in
plastica.

Pulizia dello schermo

Lo schermo del dispositivo è rivestito con uno speciale

materiale anti-riesso, sensibile a oli per la pelle, cere

e prodotti abrasivi. I detergenti a base di ammoniaca,
alcol, elementi abrasivi e sgrassanti possono

danneggiare il rivestimento anti-riesso. Pertanto, è

importante pulire lo schermo con un detergente per

occhiali (adatto ai rivestimenti anti-riesso) e un panno

pulito e privo di lanugine.

Immersione subacquea

L’unità è impermeabile in conformità allo Standard

IEC 60529 IPX7. Può essere immersa in 1 metro
d’acqua per 30 minuti, mentre le immersioni
prolungate possono danneggiarla. Dopo l’immersione,

accertarsi di stronare il dispositivo con un panno e

lasciarlo asciugare all’aria prima di riutilizzarlo.

Dichiarazione di conformità

questo prodotto è conforme ai requisiti essenziali e alle
altre disposizioni in materia previste dalla Direttiva

Garanzia

La garanzia è prestata dal Venditore:

• al Consumatore ossia, ai sensi dell’art. 3, D.Lgs. 6

ottobre 2005, alla “persona sica che agisce per scopi
estranei all’attività imprenditoriale o professionale

eventualmente svolta”, sulla base della medesima
norma istitutiva del così detto Codice del consumo.
In base a detta legge la durata della garanzia è di 24
mesi decorrenti dalla data di consegna del prodotto
al Consumatore. La garanzia copre solo i difetti di

conformità o d’origine, cioè preesistenti alla consegna

del bene al Consumatore e non copre i difetti legati ad
un’errata installazione o ad errato uso dello stesso;

• al Professionista, ossia ai sensi del citato art. 3

206/05, alla “persona sica o giuridica che agisce
nell’esercizio della propria attività imprenditoriale o

professionale, ovvero un suo intermediario” nei limiti
di quanto previsto dagli artt. 1490 ss c.c. e nei termini
di cui all’art. 1495 c.c.

Garanzia Prodotto

Il Prodotto, a cui è riferita la presente garanzia, è

garantito esente da difetti originari di conformità per

un periodo di 24 mesi dalla data di consegna all’utente

nale, conformemente a quanto previsto dal D.Lgs.

206/05.
La preghiamo, prima di prendere possesso del prodotto,

di vericare, assieme al Venditore, se il prodotto è

conforme alle Sue aspettative. Laddove il Venditore
si occupi anche della installazione del Prodotto,

La preghiamo, inoltre, di vericarne il corretto

funzionamento, eventualmente eseguendo una prova
d’uso reale.

Procedura

Qualora intenda avvalersi dei diritti di cui alle presenti
condizioni di garanzia, la preghiamo di visitare il sito
web di Garmin Italia (www.garmin.it) onde ottenere

le informazioni circa l’esatta modalità di consegna o

spedizione dei prodotti.

Con le limitazioni specicate in seguito, e qualora

sussistano le condizioni per riconoscere la garanzia ai

sensi del D.Lgs. 206/05, il prodotto verrà riparato senza

nessun costo relativo alle spese strettamente necessarie
per la riparazione e quindi rispedito in porto franco al
Venditore.

Resta fermo quanto disposto dall’art. 130, D.Lgs.

206/05 in particolare quanto all’oggettiva impossibilità
o l’eccessiva onerosità della riparazione.

Per i prodotti in garanzia il Consumatore nulla deve
al Venditore a titolo di contributo spese di trasporto
o di gestione. Laddove il prodotto dovesse essere
inviato nonostante il periodo di garanzia sia scaduto
ovvero risulti che trattasi di difetto non coperto dalla
Garanzia, ovvero il prodotto sia privo di difetti, Garmin

Italia addebiterà al Venditore i costi del trasporto,

amministrativi e tecnici sostenuti.

Limiti nel caso di intervento in garanzia

La garanzia di Garmin Italia non copre i difetti
originari manifestatisi oltre il termine di durata

La garanzia non copre altresì difetti derivanti da

sovraccarichi di corrente dovuti alla rete cui il

eventuale utilizzo di un caricabatteria di modello

L’eventuale rottura di sigilli o la precedente

eventuali differenze di colorazione, di materiale

che non siano state oggetto di specico reclamo al

Reinigen des Gehäuses

Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse des Geräts (nicht den
Bildschirm) mit einem weichen Tuch, das leicht mit
einer milden Reinigungslösung befeuchtet ist, und
wischen Sie es anschließend trocken. Verwenden
Sie keine scharfen chemischen Reinigungs- und
Lösungsmittel, die die Kunststoffteile beschädigen
könnten.

Reinigen des Bildschirms

Der Bildschirm ist mit einer speziellen

Antireexionsbeschichtung versehen,
die gegenüber Hautpegeöl, Wachs und
abschleifenden Reinigungsmitteln empndlich
ist. Die Antireexionsbeschichtung wird durch

Reinigungsmittel mit einem Gehalt an Ammoniak,
Alkohol, Schleifmitteln oder Fettlösungsmitteln
beschädigt. Der Bildschirm muss mit einem
Brillenreiniger (bei dem angegeben ist, dass er keine
