Application Notes
When used in GAI- Tronic s SmartS eries ca binet, this unit can p ower 20 M onitored Inp ut Modules (MI M)
or four Monitor ed Relay Modu les ( MRM) or 2 0 Audio Distr ibution Modules (AD M). I f MRMs a re used
in combinat ion with MIMs or ADMs, the total load r equ irement must be calculated to ensure that the
4.2A output is not exceeded.
• The normal input voltage of the power supply is 120 V ac.
• For 120 V ac applications, use the power cord provided with the unit.
• For 240 V ac applications, a Belden No. 17566 Power Cord must be used in place of the power cord
supplied with the unit. No internal wiring or switches need to be changed for 240 V ac operation.
• The power supply module inside the chassis is equipped with an internal fuse protection which is not
accessible. Do not attempt to repair or replace the fuse—call GAI-Tronics for service.
