GAI-TRONICS DIGITAL INTERCOM SYSTEMS

The DIS-200u central unit is a fully digital, micro-

processor-controlled intercom server for up to

32 subscribers at one location. 2-wire and

4-wire stations can be combined as desired.

Network cards allow connection to other central

units (also to DIS-700u). Further plug-in cards

enable additional I/O functions, such as music

and alarm inputs, relay outputs, RS 232/485

interfaces, etc.

Compact and suitable for networks, the DIS-200u cen­tral is therefore ideal for intercom systems where
small, manageable units are combined to a network.
Each DIS-200u works as an intercom server that con­trols the different interfaces: interface cards for
speech, control and indication functions and commu­nication with other systems such as video systems,
door and gate control, telephone systems, etc. The
simple modular construction of the basic operating

system facilitates continuous upgrading for new
applications and features. The latest SMD design
results in the system being physically compact and
having the highest standards of electronic reliability.
All kinds of intercom stations, 2-wire as well as 4-wire
stations, can be connected to the DIS-200u.
Connecting a special interface housing also cards
from the DIS-700u can be used.

Mounting and installation of the central DIS-200u and of the
equipment may be carried out only by authorised service
personnel.

For programming of the DIS-200u a 9-way D-Submin elongation
cable is required (1:1, plug on central side, socket on PC side):

A link card is required for two reasons:

1. If a DIS-200u (DIS-200u-EXP) contains analogue subscriber cards, one link card DIS-G2-GEK2 is necessary.

2. If features like “Reception of several music programs“, “Conference“ or “Radio conference“ are used,
additional link cards DIS-G2-GEK2 are required (for music 4T1 no link card is required).

Available per link card DIS-G2-GEK2 (a maximum of 3 DIS-G2-GEK2 in one DIS-200u with DIS-200u-EXP):

• 2 duplex controllers (only two duplex controllers can be used in the central, that means, from additional

cards only the A/D converters can be used).

• 3 A/D-D/A converters (a maximum of 9 A/D converters can be used)

If only digital subscribers are used, no link card is required.

Available in the DIS-200u (and DIS-200u-EXP)

• 48 digital audio lines

• 12 analogue audio lines

The different types of conversation require a different number of audio lines, the free lines are allocated
dynamically (see below).

For plug-in cards in Euro card format an interface housing DIS-200u-INT is required. One DIS-200u-INT can be
connected to the DIS-200u. The DIS-200u-INT offers place for two interface cards.The interface housing
DIS-200u-INT is connected to the expansion plug of the DIS-200u, or, if an expansion housing DIS-200u-EXP is
connected there, to the expansion plug of the DIS-200u-EXP.
