Quick Start Guide to the Vevo 770®
This Quick Start Guide provides a quick overview of the Vevo 770 and provides tips to allow users to start using the instrument and its various modes. A detailed step-by-step description of the system is available in the Vevo 770 Operator Manual.

Start-up Procedure
Connect the RMV™
Attach the RMV scanhead that will be used during the imaging session to one of the connectors on the front of the Vevo 770.
Note: Only the 700-Series RMV scanheads are to be used with the Vevo 770. Earlier versions of the RMV scanheads are not compatible with the Vevo 770.
Start the Vevo 770
1. Turn on the Vevo system using the breaker switch at the back of the
system and then the computer standby switch on the left side of the system.
2. Turn on the monitor.
3. Wait for the Windows XP operating system to start up. The system is
configured by VisualSonics® to automatically log in.
4. The Vevo 770 software should automatically launch. If not, double-click on
the Vevo desktop icon

Start the Vevo Software
1. Select the Measurement package to be used.
2. Select the appropriate RMV scanhead to be used. To view the properties of
the selected scanhead, click View Properties to expand the Scanhead Selection dialog.
To initialize the selected scanhead, click Initialize. Initialization sets up the appropriate software parameters for the selected
RMV scanhead. Click Cancel or press <Esc> to exit the software startup process.

3. Once a scanhead is initialized, the Study Browser is displayed. The Study
Browser is used for data acquisition and for the review and analysis of study data.
4. Click New or press <New> and fill out at least the two mandatory study
information fields – Operator Name and Study Name.
5. Click OK to continue with the study. The Vevo 770 will automatically start
acquiring data in B-Mode.
B-Mode
1. Select Setup > B-Mode Setup, or press <Mode Setup> to change
acquisition parameters.
2. Press <Scan/Freeze> to start and stop data acquisition. The acquired data
may be reviewed using the cine loop controls at the bottom of the screen.
Optional Acquisition Modes
The following imaging modes are available as options to the Vevo 770. You will only be able to use the options that have been purchased with your system:
