important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. The product must only be used as described and for the stated fields of application. Keep all the safety advice and instruction in a safe place for future reference. If you pass the product on to third parties, please give them all of the documentation as well.

The product is intended for use with sun umbrellas and the like to provide bright table illumination. The device is intended for use in private domestic environments only and not for commercial use.

Never leave children unsupervised with the
packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Please keep children away from the device at all times.

Safety Information
J This device is not a toy and should not be played
by children. Children are not able to understand the dangers that can occur when handling this device.
J Children or other individuals who do not know
or have no experience of handling this device, or whose physical, sensory or mental abilities are restricted, must not use the device without supervision or instruction by an individual responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the device.
J Do not look directly into the beam of light and
do not point it at people or animals. The beam of light can lead to injuries.
J Do not shine the beam of light onto a mirror
or other reflective surfaces. The uncontrolled deflected beam could injury people or animals.
J Switch the beam of light off before you put the
device down.
J Don’t use any magnifying instruments (e.g.
magnifying glasses) to look at the LED beam.
J Do not use the device if it is damaged. Damaged
devices represent a danger of death!
J Under no circumstances should you take the
device apart. Improper repairs may place the user in considerable danger. Repairs should only be carried out by specialist personnel.

Safety Instructions for Batteries
J Remove the batteries from the device if they are
not going to be used for a prolonged period.
J
CAUTION! DANGER OF
EXPLOSION! The batteries must
never be recharged!
J When inserting the batteries, ensure the correct
polarity! This is shown in the battery magazine.
J If necessary, clean the batteries and device
contacts before inserting the batteries.
J Remove spent batteries immediately from the
device. There is an increased danger of leaks!
J Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal
domestic waste!
J Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of
batteries in the proper manner!
J Keep batteries away from children; do not
throw them in the fire, short-circuit them or take them apart.
J If the above instructions are not complied with,
the batteries may discharge themselves beyond their end voltage. There is then a danger of leaking. If the batteries have leaked inside your device, you should remove them immediately in order to prevent damage to the device!
J Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. Any parts of the body coming into contact with battery acid should be rinsed off with copious amounts of water and / or a doctor contacted if necessary!
J Always replace all batteries at the same time
and only use the same type of batteries.
J LED cannot be replaced.

Note: Before first use, remove the insulation strip
using a Phillips screwdriver.

Inserting / replacing the batteries
j Open the battery compartment 4 using a
Phillips screwdriver.
j Remove the used batteries. j Insert three batteries type 1.5 V
Note: Make sure you fit the batteries the right
way round (polarity). The correct polarity is shown inside the battery compartment
j Close the battery compartment

j Open the lock 2 and attach the sun umbrella
lamp by the clamp fastening umbrella pole. Close the lock of most sun umbrella posts is 28 to 48 mm).
j Press the ON / OFF switch

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of
recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC. Please return the batteries and / or the device to the available collection points.
Environmental damage through
incorrect disposal of the batteries!

Batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries at a local collection point.
