Intended use
The Solar Lamp is intended for installation in the
open (gardens etc.). It is intended exclusively for
private, non-commercial, applications.

Risk of personal injury!
• Never leave children unsupervised with the
Solar Lamp.
• The earth spike has a sharp pointed end.
This could lead to injuries.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
individuals (including children) with restricted
physical, physiological or intellectual abilities
or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from
this person instruction in how the appliance
is to be used.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
Warning!
• Never use the Solar Lamp for puposes
other than those described here.
Otherwise it could cause irreparable
damage to the appliance.

Before taking the appliance into use check to ensure that all of the items listed have been supplied. Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the appliance.

Product Information
• During the day, the solar cells convert sunlight into electricity and charge the battery.
At night / twilight, the Solar Lamp automatically switches itself on and provides
light by means of the stored electical power.
• The number of operating hours is dependant
on how long and how intensively the sun
has shone upon the collector panel 2.
Placement
For best results, place your Solar lamp in a
location where sunlight shines directly onto the
collector panel 2. The location must be free

from shadow and shade. Make sure that the
collector panel 2 is not subjected to light
sources other than sunlight. Otherwise, the
lamp will not be switched on at twilight.
Putting into operation
Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in
your normal domestic waste. This
product is subject to the European
directive 2002/96/EC.
Place the Solar Lamp in a suitable location.
Switch the function switch 1 to the ON
position.
Note:
The charging process will only start if the
function switch 1 is in the ON position.
You charge the Solar Lamp by subjecting it
to intensive sunlight for a period of approx.
16 hours.
When the battery is charged, the Solar Lamp
switches itself on automatically at twilight.
Switch the function switch 1 to the OFF
position to switch off the Solar lamp.
Note:
It can take a few days until the Solar Lamp has
reached its optimal performance efficiency.
Cleaning
Wipe the Solar lamp and the collector panel 2
with a moist cloth.
Attention!
• Do not use aggressive or chemical cleaning
agents. These could cause damage to the
appliance.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste
facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste
disposal centre.
Disposing of batteries
Do not dispose of batteries with household
waste. Every consumer is legally obliged to
dispose of batteries at a collection site of his
community/city district or at a retail store.
The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting
manner. Only dispose of batteries when they
are fully discharged.
To remove the rechargeable battery loosen the
screws on the collector panel 2 and lift it out
of the Solar lamp. Open the battery compartment and remove the rechargeable battery.
Dispose of all packaging materials in
an environmentally friendly manner.

Warranty & Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from
the date of purchase. The appliance has been
manu-factured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as
proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty
claim, please make contact by telephone with our
service department. Only in this way can a postfree despatch for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and
maufacturing defects, not for wearing parts or
for damage to fragile components. This product
is for private use only and is not intended for
commercial use.
The warranty is void in the case of abusive and
improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service
branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in
any way by this warranty.
