the combination of outstanding features that makes the new
CARVEX PS 400 such an exceptional pendulum jigsaw. An amazingly durable energy-saving EC-TEC motor powered by lithium ion
technology ensures powerful, rapid cutting progress. Lightweight
and handy with an ergonomic shape and intelligent switch positions for effortless working. Available with a stirrup handle or
knob, and even with a mains power cable and plug it connection.
Impressive accuracy in any shape or form, optimised for excellent
results.
Integrated in the Festool system, the CARVEX is an amazingly
flexible and versatile saw that boasts features such as the new
interface for tool-less base changes as well as circle cutters,
guide rails and base runners for wood, metal and delicate
surfaces.
On/off switches mounted on both sides of the machine for right
and left-handed oper ation in any position.

What do you get when you cross a
powerful cutting stroke with
effortless handling around bends
and corners? Pure enthusiasm for
the CARVEX.
Although extremely powerful, the 800 watt motor actually consumes
30 % less energy in reality – not a contradiction in terms, just a
guarantee of greater efficiency from the EC-TEC motor with recently
developed gear concept. An impressive 80 % of the power generated by
the machine is transferred to the saw blade, which is not surprising
considering the ease with which the CARVEX cuts through table and
kitchen worktops, hardwood and metal. The advantage of low energy
requirements during battery operation are obvious: the jigsaw produces the same degree of power as cable machines and is far superior
to other cordless saws.

No carbon brushes, no wear. Just full power.
The EC-TEC motor on the CARVEX generates outstanding cutting power and
does not have carbon brushes that heat up or wear at high speeds. The
EC-TEC is also more lightweight and compact than conventional motors,
achieves a higher degree of efficiency and offers bundles of power.

The CARVEX is a specialist in sweeping
curves and tight corners. The saw cuts
smoothly and effortlessly around every curve
and the guidance jaws hold the saw blade in
the right position. Together with the rigid
lifter rod, they enhance the unparalled
cutting characteristics of the CARVEX precision guidance along the scribe mark
and per fect cutting results, even around
tight curves.

Precision guaranteed. Mitre cuts and
undercuts from 0 to 45 degrees with the
quick-change angle table.
Versatile extension options. The circle
cutter was designed for cutting radiuses
between 34 mm and 1.50 m. When installed
in the Compact Module System CMS, the
PS 4 00 becomes a stationar y saw for
guiding workpieces through the saw blade
with both hands.

Splinter-free cuts at a perfect angle. Exactly circular or dead straight. Chips and
dust are always extracted efficiently, whatever the material. Anyone who owns a
CARVEX can make use of the complete Festool system to increase their working
efficiency. From splinterguards to circle cutters and the right saw blade to
mobile dust extractors. Accessories are fitted without requiring tools and ready
to use in no time at all: base runners just click into position and tables with rapid
change interface are easy to replace. The guide rails and Compact Module
System are the perfect accessories for the CARVEX when combined with the
adapter base: for the completion of complex tasks with a high degree of accuracy
and efficiency.

For tight bends. The third saw blade guide with parallel adjustable carbide jaws
helps achieve straight, accurate cuts by preventing the blade from running of f
course. Saw blades are easy to change with one hand and without using tools.
More power, fewer energy requirements. The brushless EC-TEC motor and the
recently developed gear concept transfer more than 80 % of the power generated
by the machine to the saw blade. For rapid working progress in any material.
Particularly ef ficient with lithium ion batteries. They are durable, lightweight,
never discharge by themselves and can be recharged at any time – with no
memor y effect. The CARVE X is compatible with all Festool battery packs: from
the C and T series drivers or TDK family, with NiCd or NiMH, from 10.8 to
15.6 (18) volts.
Work more easily in any position. Weighs only 1.9 kg*, slim, ergonomic design,
non-slip softgrip coating and on/off switch mounted on both sides (also
centrally on stirrup handle version) for right and left-handed operation.
Rapid working progress without interruptions. The plug it cable folds to 90° to
shorten the overall length of the cable version by 10 cm, making the CARVEX
much easier to manoeuvre.
Precision cutting along the scribe mark. The stroboscopic light illuminates the
working area, while the dust extractor and blowing function keep the scribe
mark visible.
Perfectly equipped.
Festool offers the perfect accessory for every application in addition to
compatible consumable materials – Festool does not think in terms of individual
applications, but total solutions. And this is why we offer a large assortment of
saw blades for different applications, also in large economy packs.
