Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO incorporates

new and refined technologies that work in tandem to provide a fast,
total scanning solution with quality rivalling many drum scanners.

Superb Image Quality

The outstanding image quality achieved by the Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO
is a direct result of numerous advanced technologies, designed to work together
to deliver professional results with every scan.

Dual Lens System

4800dpi Matrix CCD

Featuring an advanced dual optical lens, the Epson PERFECTION
V700 PHOTO incorporates two separate lenses, each designed to
optimise the scanning results in specific modes. When selecting Film
(with Film Holder) mode, the Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO will
automatically use its 6400dpi Super Resolution Lens, while the
4800dpi High Resolution Lens will be used for reflective scans
and film scanning with the Film Area Guide.

The 4800dpi Matrix CCD (Charge Coupled Device) used in the
Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO is one of the crucial factors in the
scanner’s ability to scan at incredible detail and deliver high gradation
reproduction. It is also the combination of the Matrix CCD with Micro
Lens and Epson Dual Lens System that makes it possible for the
Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO to deliver high resolution scans
without an increase in carriage size.

With numerous features designed specifically to enhance
overall scanning performance, the Epson PERFECTION V700
PHOTO combines brilliant quality with superior speed.

On-board Image Processing

By utilising a high-speed ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) hyper processor,
the Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO is able to process scanned image data significantly
faster than other scanners that typically rely on the PC’s internal processor and memory.
The result is a consistent high speed scanning operation.

Bluish Lamp Technology

With the innovative bluish lamp technology, the Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO
dramatically reduces the amount of time required to scan negatives and slides. This is
achieved by alleviating the problems associated with using pure white light to scan negatives.

4.0 Dmax Optical Density

Rivalling the quality of many high performance drum scanners, the Epson
PERFECTION V700
ensuring high
easily and quickly.

Regardless of the scanning mode, the Epson PERFECTION V700 PHOTO can
faithfully reproduce a full range of colours by virtue of its 16-bit gradation capability.
In order to maintain image integrity with the increase in gradation, the Epson
PERFECTION V700 PHOTO has been designed with a special AD converter
for “noise” reduction.
