EPSON's DYO 211 & 212 3.5" FLOPPY DISK/PCMCIA DRIVE
EPSON's DYO lets you transfer data between computers in seconds.
Until now, if you worked on both a desktop and portable computer,
you had to transfer data using a 1.44 MB Floppy Disk Drive, use
cumbersome conversion cables, and buy two fax modems, two Ethernet
adapters, duplicate system functions and so on.
With Epson's combination 3.5" Floppy Disk/PCMCIA Drive, you can not
only share data quickly between computers, but transfer capabilities
as well through the use of the latest PC Cards.
The DYO 211 drive combines a 1.44 MB 3.5 inch floppy disk drive and
a full function PCMCIA Type III socket into a single half height
package for your desktop computer.
The DYO 212 drive combines all the features of the DYO 211, along
with a rear PCMCIA slot for greater expandability using an
additional PC Card.
You simply buy the capabilities you need with your choice of PC
Cards, and transfer them between computers as needed. What could
be easier or more cost effective?
Full PCMCIA Capabilities
Full-function PCMCIA socket allows you to use hard disk, fax/modem,
ethernet, ATA flash memory, RAM and other PCMCIA type I, II and III
cards in your desktop system.
Plug In And Play Systemsoft Cardsoft PCMCIA software permits true

"plug and play" PC Card operation within Windows, DOS and Windows
95 environments. It enables your desktop to automatically recognize
the type of card in the socket.
Super Efficient Packaging
Single half-height package frees a bay for the addition of other
peripherals such as a CDROM, optical drive, or tape back-up unit.
Works Well With Others
DYO is fully compatible with ExCA "Quick Swap," works with all
Type I, II and III memory and I/O cards and supports card and
socket services software from all major suppliers.
Reliable Floppy
The floppy disk drive features a transfer rate of 500 KB/second
with an average seek time of 95 ms and an average latency of 100
ms.
