Safety Instructions
Read all these instructions, and follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
❏ Place the product on a

Scanning Using a Scanner Button
You can scan using the button on your scanner. is automatically starts a default scanning program, but you can
reassign the buttons to dierent programs.
Note:
Make sure you installed Epson Event Manager, Copy Utility, Easy Photo Scan, and EPSON Scan, and have connected the
scanner to your computer.

Changing the Default Scanner Button Settings
Using Epson Event Manager, you can view or change the default application and actions performed by each
scanner button.
1.Start Epson Event Manager.

Enter the application name in the search charm, and then select the displayed icon.

Scanning With EPSON Scan
EPSON Scan allows you to control all aspects of scanning. You can use this as a standalone scanning application or
use it with another TWAIN-compliant scanning application. is section explains basic scanning procedures using
EPSON Scan. See the help for details on EPSON Scan.
Starting EPSON Scan
Do one of the following to start EPSON Scan.

EPSON Scan provides several scanning modes to choose from.
❏ Full Auto Mode lets you scan quickly and easily, without selecting any settings or previewing your image.

Selecting an EPSON Scan Mode
To select the scan mode, click the arrow in the Mode box in the upper right corner of the EPSON Scan window.
Next, select the mode you want to use from the list displayed.
