Centralized Management
SANscape® is an integrated software suite for Dot Hill's SANnet® II storage solutions that
combines configuration, maintenance and monitoring functions into a single easy-to-use
interface. The SANscape management suite includes SANscape GUI and CLI consoles,
SANscape Alert and SANscape agents for leading platforms and operating systems.
Remote and Local Management
The SANscape GUI and CLI Consoles provide unified management of SANnet II storage solu-
tions across existing local and remote networks. Each SANscape user is assigned a specific
role for security - such as monitor, manager or administrator - defining their access rights.
SANscape simplifies storage management and reduces administration costs for the entire
SANnet II storage solution deployed, including Dot Hill's optional SANpath software.
Monitoring and Event Notification
SANscape Agents install on servers and operate in the background to establish communi-
cations between SANscape and SANnet II storage solutions. In the event of a status
change, SANscape Alert notifies storage administrators via the GUI and CLI consoles,
e-mails, or alphanumeric pagers. SANscape also sends alerts to SNMP-aware enterprise
management suites and, optionally, to Dot Hill's Global Response Center.
Performance Measurement and Charting
SANscape measures, records and charts current and historic performance statistics for
SANnet II storage solutions. View detailed performance information for reads, writes and
cache to investigate and analyze performance trends.
