1. Connect the curly cord to the handset and to the socket marked
the underside of the telephone.
2. Connect the telephone line to the socket marked T on the underside of the
telephone and then a telephone network wall socket.
3. A click will be heard when the modular plug is correctly in place.
4. Connect the mains adapter to the socket marked Y on the underside of
the telephone and then to an electrical wall socket.
5. Position the cables in the grooves underneath the telephone.
6. Carefully t the desk/wall mount bracket on the angled face on the
underside of the telephone.
7. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
8. Set language and country, see page 14.
The display
In standby mode (handset down, no dial tone) the display will show the date and
time, number of new and total number of calls stored in the Caller ID memory.

Operation
Mute button
The handset microphone can be disabled during a call by pressing z. Press z again to
reactivate the microphone.
The display will show MUTE for as long as the function is active.
Important!
Please note when programming all references to press = to press once and then immediately release the
button.
Redial function
The ve most recently dialled numbers can easily be redialled using r.
1. Press r repeatedly to scroll through the numbers.
2. Press 0, the selected number will now be dialled.
You can switch between handset and hands free at any time during the conversation.
Volume control
The handset/headset volume may be adjusted during a call using .
To adjust the hands free speaker volume, use (on the side of the
telephone).
Ringer signal
The ringer volume, melody can be adjusted using the switches underneath the
telephone:

Contrast
The displays contrast level can be adjusted from 1 to 7 (7 is the darkest setting).

Operation
Call Timer
Approximately 10 seconds after dialling a timer will be shown on the display.
The timer is a simple way to help you keep track of how long the call lasts.
Hands free function
The hands free function is available when the handset mode is activated (see
next page), to connect and disconnect a call press s.
1. Press s. The speaker will be activated and the LED indicator next to the
button will illuminate.
2. Dial the telephone number required. Adjust the speaker volume using
on the right hand side of the base.
3. Speak towards the microphone located on the front edge of the telephone.
4. Press s to terminate the call.
Please note!
During a conversation, you can switch from the hands free to handset mode at any time by
picking up the handset. Replace the handset to terminate the call.
Please remember that in hands free speaker mode, only one person at a time can talk. The
switch over between speaker and microphone is automatic and dependant on the sound level of
the incoming call and the microphone respectively. It is therefore essential that there are no loud
noises in the immediate surroundings of the telephone, as this will disrupt the speaker function.

Selecting headset or handset/hands free operation
The telephone is preset for handset/hands free operation. When the headset
option is selected the hands free speaker function is disabled and will be
displayed in standby mode.
1. Press w.
2. Scroll to SETTINGS using v/V. Press 0.
3. Scroll to / FUNCTION using v/V. Press 0.
4. Select the required setting using v/V.
5. Press 0 to save your settings.
Headset Connection
The q/= socket underneath the telephone is used to connect the supplied
handset or an optional headset.
Please note!
Immediately reduce the earpiece volume when connecting an optional headset. Use only DORO
original headsets as the performance of non-original headsets cannot be guaranteed, any
damage caused to the headset or telephone is not covered by the guarantee.
Headset function
When the Headset option is activated the hands free speaker function will be
disabled.
1. Press q/=. The headset function will be activated and the LED indicator
next to the button will illuminate.
2. Dial the telephone number required. Adjust the headset volume using
located next to the handset under the display.
3. Press q/= to terminate the call.

Caller Identication
Explanation of Caller ID
Caller ID allows you to see who is calling before you answer a call or to see who
has called in your absence, calls are stored chronologically, with the sequence
number shown in the lower left hand side of the display.
If there are several calls from the same number, only one entry will be logged
and the symbols x
from that particular telephone number.
The Caller ID log will store 30 numbers, when the log is full the oldest number
will be deleted automatically as the new call is logged.
Please note!
In order for numbers to be shown, the Caller ID service provided by your network operator and
a current subscription in place. Contact your operator for more information.
Retrieving/Dialling a number from Caller ID
1. Press v or V to scroll through the stored telephone numbers in the Caller
ID log.
2. Press 0 to dial any displayed number, if no button is pressed the telephone
will return to standby mode.
If you wish, you can switch between handset mode and hands free mode during
the conversation.

Erasing Individual Numbers

Menu Description
The telephone has an easy menu system with distinct display texts.

PHONE BOOK To store/access telephone numbers in the phone book and
one-touch memories.
SETTINGS To program the date and time, alternate network routing, language
for display texts, contrast and country selection for Recall (R) network services
and functions.
Used to scroll through the menus.

Network Services
The principal network operators most common additional services are preprogrammed and can be accessed using the button.
The functions available will depend on the correct country being selected in
COUNTRY SELECT (see page 14).
In standby mode
1. Do NOT lift the handset. Press .
2. Scroll to required service using v/V.
- Call Anonymous Withholds your telephone number when dialling out
(CID off).
- Call Forward ON Transfers/Diverts your incoming calls to another
telephone number
- Call Forward OFF Call forwarding disabled
3. Press 0.
4. Follow any prompts from the receiver, speaker or display.
In call mode
1. Press .
2. Scroll to the required Call Waiting service using v/V.
- ANSWER (answer incoming call waiting)
- BROK (switch between two calls)
- CONFERENCE (connect two external calls)

The services programmed are those of the main network operator for each country. Ensure the
correct country selection has been made (see page 14).
Some additional network services may require subscription or be turned off; for further
information on network services contact your local network provider.

Memory
Direct (One-touch) Memories
Apart from the phone book (see next page) there are four Direct memory
buttons, M1 to M4. Using Direct memory dialling a call can be made by simply
pressing one button.
Storing Direct Memories
1. Press w. MEMORY will be displayed. Press 0.
2. Scroll to STORE M1/M2/M3/M4 using v/V. Press 0.
3. Enter the telephone number including the area code (up to 22 digits).
Press 0.
4. Enter name. Press the corresponding number button one or more times for
the rst letter of the name. (Refer to the table on the following page). Repeat
this until the name is entered.

Please note!
If the next letter is not on the same button, you can immediately press the button containing
that letter without waiting.
Press r if you need to insert a pause in the telephone number.
If you wish to change a number, store the new number in the same location as the old one.

Memory
Phone Book
The Phone Book will store 20 telephone numbers/names, this allows a stored
telephone number to be dialled using fewer button presses than if dialled
manually. Phone book entries are organised alphabetically.
When the telephone is not in use the message waiting light will ash twice in
sequence, and the display will show VIP to indicate that a call has been received
from a number stored in the phone book.
Please note!
If the phone book is full, you will have to erase one or several numbers/names before you can
add a new entry.
Letters
Each number key has been allocated certain letters. Some letters and special
characters, e.g. Å, Ä and Ö, are stored in the memory even if they are not
displayed on the buttons. Please see the table below.

3. Press 0 to dial the displayed telephone number/name.

The display messages can be shown in several different languages: Swedish, Danish,
Norwegian, Finnish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Turkish, Polish, Icelandic,
Dutch, Italian and English

3. Scroll to LANGUAGE using v/V. Press 0.
4. Scroll to the required language using v/V.

COUNTRY SELECT
Your country of operation can be selected from one of the following: Australia,
Sweden, UK, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and France

4. Scroll to the required country using v/V.

Important!
The correct country must be selected for the network services and recall button to function properly.
New Zealand customers must select the NZ setting on the AU/NZ switch located underneath the
telephone for correct operation on the principal operators network

ANR
Alternate Network Routing (ANR)
This function will automatically select the telephone network operator of your choice.
The telephone can be set up to add digits to and/or replace certain digits in telephone
numbers.
To choose a certain network operator, you would normally dial a prex code before the
actual phone number.
Example:
You have chosen a different operator for international calls you will have to dial a
prex code before the telephone number, for example 9301. You can program the ANR
function to insert the prex code before the international access digits 00. For example:
the number 00 46 46 2805000 would automatically be dialled as 930100 46 46 2805000
Please note!
In order to place your call with a certain network operator you must be a registered subscriber.
Only one ANR (Alternate Network Routing) setting can be active at a time.
Setting up an ANR number
1. Press w.
2. Scroll to SETTINGS using v/V. Press 0.
3. Scroll to LCR using v/V. Press 0.
4. Select on or off using v/V. Press 0.
5. Enter the sequence to be replaced (up to four digits, e. g. 00). If there is already a number entered erase it using C. Press 0.
6. If you have entered less than four digits, press 0 to move on.
7. Enter the sequence to be added (up to eight digits, e. g. 930100). If there’s already a number entered here erase it using C.
8. Press 0 to save your settings.
Automatic network prex using economy routing
The ANR function can also be used to insert numbers in front of all telephone
numbers.
1. Press w.
2. Scroll to SETTINGS using v/V. Press 0.
3. Scroll to LCR using v/V. Press 0.
4. Select on or off using v/V. Press 0.
5. The left hand side of the display should be empty. If there is already a number entered erase it using C. Press 0.
6. If you have entered less than four digits, press 0 to move on.
7. Enter the sequence to be added (up to eight digits, e. g. 930100). If there’s already a number entered here erase it using C.
8. Press 0 to save your settings.

Wall mounting
The telephone can be wall mounted. Use two screws vertically mounted 100
mm apart the screws should then t into the two ‘keyholes’ on the back of the
telephone. Fit the desk/wall bracket to the underside of the telephone using
the lower (close to the q= socket) locators. If the telephone has been used
previously on a desk the bracket must be removed from the angled surface,
rotated through 180 degrees and tted to the lower locators.
The telephone will mount directly to an Australian standard wall plate.

Other
Troubleshooting
Check that the telephone cord is undamaged and properly plugged in.
Disconnect any additional equipment, extension cords and other telephones. If
the problem is resolved, the fault is with the other equipment.
Test the equipment on a known working line. If the product works, then the
fault is probably with the line. Please inform your local telephone company.
No number shown in display when ringing
- In order for this feature to function, you must subscribe to the Caller
Identication service from your network provider.
- If a text message is shown on the display, the call may be an international
call (no data received), or from a private or withheld number.
- It may not be possible to receive Caller ID information if the phone operates
in a PBX system.
If the telephone still does not work, contact the place of purchase. Don’t forget
the receipt or copy of the invoice.
