When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
-To protect against fire, electrical shock and personal injury, do not
immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
-Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return
the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments or spare parts not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock or personal injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- This appliance must be connected to an ef ficient “gr ounding” system. Have your electrical system checked out by a qualified electrician.
- Do not use the appliance for other than the intended use.
- Do not place any strain on the power cord. Avoid twisting and/or
tangling.
- The Pinguino should not be installed where the atmosphere could
contain combustible gases.
-Avoid using Pinguino in oily or sulphurous atmospheres or near
sources of heat.
-Wait at least 3 minutes before restarting, after the air conditioner
has been switched off or the thermostat setting changed.
- Do not place hot or heavy objects on the appliance.
-Clean air filter every week (see instructions at page 12).
- Important: If you need to use an extension cord, please be sure
to use a heavy duty extension cord (minimum 14 gauge).

INTRODUCTION
This air conditioner consists of two units: the internal unit is designed to operate inside the room to
be conditioned; the external unit is installed outside the room.
The two units are connected by a special hose,
approximately 13 ft. (3 metres) in length. This
hose contains the freon tubes, the electrical wiring
and the condensation discharge tube.
