Statement of Volatility – Dell E5515H
CAUTION: A CAUTION indicat es e ith er po ten ti a l dam age to hardware or loss of data and te lls y o u how to avoid the
problem.
The Dell E5515H contains both volatile and non-volatile (NV) components. Volatile components lose their data immediately
after power is removed from the component. Non-volatile (NV) components continue to retain their data even after power is
removed from the component. The following NV components are present on the Dell E5515H system board.

CAUTION: All other comp onen ts on the system board lose data if power is removed from the system. Pr i m ary p owe r
loss (unplugging the power co rd an d removing the battery) destroys al l u ser data on the memory (DDR3, 1067MHz).
Secondary power loss (removing t he on-board coin-cell batte ry) des tro ys system data on the system configuration
and time-of-day information.
