DHW: Domestic hot water
Congratulations on your choice of a high quality product. We strongly advise you to read the following instructions in order to guarantee the optimal operation of your appliance. We are sure that it will be entirely to your satisfaction and will meet with all of your expectations.
2 Important recommendations
For a proper operating of the boiler, follow carefully the instructions.
Any intervention on the appliance and heating equipment must be carried out by a qualified technician.
The manufacturer is not liable for any improper use of the appliance or failure to maintain or install the unit correctly (the user shall take care to ensure that the system is installed by a qualified fitter).
Check that the appliance is properly set for the type of gas used.
Keep to the polarity shown on the terminals: phase (L), neutral (N) and earth
4
.
Check the seal on the gas and water pipe connections.
Check regularly that the installation contains water and is pressurised.
To guarantee protection against the corrosion of domestic hot water calorifiers fitted with a titanium anode (Titan Active System® protection system), always leave the control panel switched on. To switch off the heating or the domestic hot water, use the Summer or Antifreeze mode (Vacation).

2. Important recommendations
2.1 Aeration
2.1.1 Chimney versions
Do not obstruct the air inlets in the room (even partially).
France: the cross section of the aeration vent, which is compulsory
in the boiler room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the DTU 61.1 (P 45 204) standard and, in particular, with the instruction on boiler room layout (Book 1764 April 1982).
Belgium:the cross-section of the aeration vents, which are compulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the NBN D51-003 standard.
Germany: the cross section of the ventiliation vents, which are compulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the VDI 2050 form 1 standard and with other prevailing regulations.
Other countries: the cross section of the aeration inlet, which is compulsory in the premises in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the standards in force in the country.
2.1.2 Forced flue versions
It is not necessary to provide ventilation of the premises in which the boiler is installed. Ventilation is required if a mechanical connection to the gas exists.
2.2 Maintenance
- The servicing and cleaning of the boiler and the sweeping of the flue gas pipe and the bleed pot must be done at least once a year by a qualified professional. We recommend taking out a maintenance contract.
- Regularly check the level of water in the system and top up if required, taking care that cold water is not added suddenly into the boiler when it is hot. If this operation is repeated several times per season, locate the leak and repair it.
Do not drain the installation, except in cases of absolute necessity. For example: Several months' absence with the risk of ice in the building.
2.3 Adapting to another gas type
Belgium:
The operations required to switch from one gas to another must be carried out by a SERV'elite technician.
Other countries:
The operations required to switch from one gas to another must be carried out by your fitter.

4. Energy-saving boiler
4 Energy-saving boiler
This boiler handles all the functionalities that one may expect of a condensing boiler. Cutting edge technologies have been used not only in its exceptionally economic design in terms of finance and energy, and therefore also of environmental protection, but have also been applied to provide maximum comfort: heating for the whole house, hot water, incredibly simple to use and trouble-free operation thanks to its reduced noise level.
The floor-standing gas condensing boiler is not content with using the heat contained in the exhaust gases (perceptible) but also takes advantage of latent heat (hidden). This energy is extracted from the steam produced during the combustion process and is not exploited by conventional boilers. The exhaust gases are here cooled in the boiler in such a way that the steam condenses and the additional heat from the exhaust gases is introduced into the heating system. A special algorithm (Active Condens System) optimises the flow and return temperature to the boiler during the tank loading phase, thanks to a modulation of the circulating pump activated by rotation. The boiler's efficiency is thus always optimum and the drinking water draw-off capacity is increased.
The boiler meets the requirements of the German Decree on energy savings (Energie-EinsparVerordnung, EnEV) and offers truly exceptional value for money.

5. Start-up
5 Start-up
Initial commissioning must be done by a qualified professional.
1. Check the water pressure in the installation several times a year.
Top up with more water if necessary.
2. Open the gas valve.
3. Control panel:
Set the On/Off switch to
8
.
Create a requirement for heat.
6 Stopping the boiler
Set the On/Off switch to 7.
On the Off position 7, the domestic hot water calorifier fitted with a titanium anode is not protected against corrosion.
Precautions to take if there is a danger of frost
Heating circuit:
Use a correctly dosed antifreeze to prevent the heating water freezing. If this cannot be done, drain the system completely. In all cases, consult the fitter.
Domestic hot water circuit:
Drain the domestic water tank and pipes.
Precautions to take in the event of prolonged shutdown (one year or more)
- Close the gas valve
- The boiler and the chimney must be swept carefully.
- Close the door of the boiler to prevent the internal circulation of air.
7 Troubleshooting
Checks to make before calling your fitter:
The burner is not working:
` It is cold.
- If using a remote control (CDI2 or FM52), check that it is set according to the instructions.
` It is cold. There is no domestic hot water.
- Check the temperature and time programme settings.
- Note the alarm message.
- Press button
.
- Release the button. The boiler restarts.
- In the event of problems, see Alarm messages.
The burner is operating but the radiators are cold:
` Air and water noise in the radiators
- Bleed the radiators.
- Top up the heating circuit with water.
- If it is often necessary to top up the installation with water, contact your fitter.
- If the problem persists, consult your fitter.
` The burner is operating but the radiators are cold
- If the problem persists, consult your fitter.
Hot water takes a very long time to reach certain draw-off points and not others
This is due to the length of the hot water pipes between the draw-off points and the boiler. The greater the length, the longer the time necessary for the hot water to replace the colder water in the pipes.
When you inform your fitter of an error, tell him:
- Product type
- Year of manufacture
- Serial number
- Type of gas used
This information can be found on the rating plate affixed to the underside of the domestic hot water tank.
- Indicate the fault reading.
