Category and Artist Search
You can scroll through stream groups based on content
category, and scroll through streams within the selected category. You can even preset it to search for specific Artist/Song Title combinations, and alert you when
a saved song is being played on an incoming Sirius signal. With so much CD-quality content being broadcast
all the time, you’re sure to find what you want.
Selectable Backlighting
For the backlight color, you can select from Amber,
Yellow or Green to match your personal preference
or your car’s instrument panel. And since Calypso
can be used as a portable radio, the variable backlight color means it can blend seamlessly into a variety of environments, whether it’s at home, the
office, or on the road.
Multiple Display Modes
The high-visibility positive LCD supports multiple display modes, including the standard Artist Name/Song
Title combination screen, and a large
letter format screen for even higher

The FMC250 controls a Clarion CD changer
and plays back the sound via your FM car
radio — no matter which brand. The FMC250
hideaway unit con-nects between your FM
radio antenna input and the car antenna.
Simply tune your radio anywhere from 87.7 to
89.9 MHz (0.2 MHz step 12- point) and listen
to superior Hi-Fi CD sound in full stereo from
the connected Clarion CD changer.
Compact for Installation Anywhere

Clarion’s new CMD4, a source unit
designed to resist splashdowns, rain, and

the bulkhead to further augment the
water-resistant faceplate equipping the
CMD4. This design also provides maximum

the titanium dome tweeters to the
polypropylene mid-woofer cone, rubber
insulated leads, and gold-plated terminals,
Clarion’s marine speakers were made to
handle the marine environment. We take it
a step further when comes to the speaker
grilles and frames, creating them out of a
non-corrosive, high-impact material called
Centrex 814. Its properties make it resistant to cracking and discoloration. No one

MOS-FET Amplification
There’s only one way for Clarion’s marinebased source units to supply unyielding
power output and superior linearity: MOSFET amplification. Smaller and more efficient than conventional power supplies,
the MOS-FET amplification circuit delivers
power with less distortion and zero On/Off
switching noise. So crank it up, or turn it
down for easy listening. Either way, your
music will never sound quite like this.
Marine Power Amplifier
A marine amplifier is essential in marine
applications where high ambient noise,
such as wind, water and engine, competes
with the sound system. Without an amplifier, cranking up the volume only means
one thing: increased distortion and damage to your speakers. It’s a known fact in
the audio world that an amplifier does
more than increase a system’s volume
level. It reduces distortion at high volume
levels, resulting in music reproduction
that’s crisp, clean and powerful.
Marine Speakers
Clarion is introducing its most aggressive
speaker lineup yet, as it unveils all-new
seven-inch designs. The innovation starts
with its Sport Series line, which includes a
seven-inch coaxial and a 10-inch subwoofer. Both utilize a durable polypropylene
cone, and both offer a new cosmetic
design. Clarion is also coming to market
with three new seven-inch and three new
6 ?-inch speaker solutions. Rounding out
this lineup is an additional 10-inch subwoofer. This is a lineup that you can get
wet, because at Clarion, we don’t sacrifice

Clarion’s PEI (polyether imide) cone provides superior sound while offering high
rigidity, high durability, as well as high
