In 5-seat conguration, the Citroën C4
Picasso has an impressively spacious boot.
Approximately 500 litres beneath the
luggage cover, and when all the seats are
folded away, that grows to an amazing
1734 litres capacity.The Citroën Grand C4
Picasso provides 576 litres with ve seats in
place, and with all seats folded, an amazing
1951 litres – nearly 2m
net allows rear seat passengers (or row two
seat passengers in the Citroën Grand C4
Picasso) to store personal objects safely,
while carefully placed securing hooks in the
boot open up numerous congurations.

OUTSIDE THE BOX
On Citroën C4 Picasso VTR+ and Exclusive
models, the Modubox is tted to the
right hand side of the boot to securely
accommodate all kinds of possessions.
Supremely practical, it has a load capacity
of 22kg and can be removed from the boot
and used as a trolley.
EASY ACCESS
The boot is always easy to reach and convenient
to use. The opening rear tailgate window on
Exclusive models means that the boot can
comfortably be accessed, even in tight spaces.

FREEDOM FOR SEVEN
The Citroën Grand C4 Picasso’s exceptional
cabin space comfortably accommodates
seven adults in its three rows of seats, and
all rear seats can disappear or spring into
life as required. All second row seats are the
same width, while third row seats are easy
to deploy, by pulling the strap in a single
upward movement – it’s supremely exible
in a moment, with no need to remove
seats and no hassle. Access to the third
row is made easy by the two outer second
row seats, which tilt forward. There’s no
compromise anywhere, this is freedom and
luxury for seven.
STORE MORE
The upper section of the dashboard provides
two large lidded storage spaces at either end,
both lit and lined with slip-proof fabric to
prevent belongings rattling and moving about.
On the front passenger side is the illuminated
glove compartment, which comprises of two
useful spaces for smaller everyday objects as
well as two air freshener rells (VTR+ and
Exclusive models only).
IN-FLIGHT COMFORT
Front seat backrests on VTR+ and Exclusive
models are tted with aircraft style tables for
row two passengers. They’re shaped to t the
curve of the seatback so that no legroom
is sacriced.
CHILL OUT ZONE
Models with the 6-speed Electronic Gearbox
System can offer even more usable space, with
a storage compartment in the lower central
part of the dashboard. The compartment
is also a cooler, and can chill a 1.5litre or
two 0.5litre bottles, even when there’s warm
air blowing through the cabin. Open the
compartment and the lid becomes a tray
with twin can holders.

moving seat design gives easy access to row
three. In an instant, the outer seat cushions
in row two lift upwards, allowing you to slide
the whole seat forward with one smooth
movement – now just step inside.
CHOOSE LIGHT
You can control precisely how much light
bathes the cabin, because the panoramic wide
angle windscreen features two independent
sliding sunblinds, which you can instantly
manually adjust. The rear windows have
retractable sunblinds with integrated rollers to

LIGHT THE NIGHT
On Exclusive models, unique attention to
detail has been paid to internal lighting.
Soft, diffuse light glows from guides under
the central facia strip, the door panels and
the roof, and it’s totally adjustable using a
translucent button on the dashboard. There
are also small LEDs set into the internal door
handles and front roof panel.
The light thinking goes further. In the
boot on VTR+ and Exclusive models is
a rechargeable torch, which also acts as
a boot light when in place. Remove it
from the clip and you have a ready to use
torch with up to 40 minutes of power – it’s
typical of the useful, original bright ideas
packed into every Citroën C4 Picasso
and Grand C4 Picasso.
MORE BRIGHT IDEAS
Reach out into one of the door panel
stowage compartments on Exclusive models
and they light up automatically, so there’s
no rummaging about in the dark! Mounted
in the front seat backs are dedicated
reading lights, designed to illuminate the fold
down tables. It means that passengers can
comfortably read without disturbing the driver
or anyone else.

AIRBAG ADVANCES
The Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4
Picasso feature a steering column airbag
that is designed to protect the driver’s knees
and shins. And because of the unique
steering wheel design, the main driver’s
airbag can deploy at exactly the right angle
for maximum protection. This airbag also
automatically adjusts the pressure and volume
of deployment, depending on the force of a
collision. Front seats also hide two further side
airbags and all passengers in outer seats are
protected by curtain airbags.

STABLE IS SAFE
All Citroën C4 Picassos are inherently safe,
thanks to their sophisticated suspension
design, but the Electronic Stability Programme
(ESP) adds a further level of security. By
monitoring progress through a bend, it
senses whether oversteer or understeer is
developing, modifying engine torque and
applying a precise measure of braking for
ultimate stability and control.
ABS + EBD + EBA
Standard ABS electronically regulates braking
to avoid locking wheels, so the driver can still
safely steer in an emergency. Connected to
the ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
(EBD) ensures that braking pressure is evenly
applied to all wheels so that should the
need arise, all braking power can effectively
be used. In an emergency there is also
Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA). This
technology automatically maximises braking
effort when it detects strong input. This
compensates for the fact that many people
don’t brake enough under pressure and it
reduces stopping distances.
FRONT & REAR
PARKING SENSORS
Parking your new Citroën C4 Picasso or
Grand C4 Picasso Exclusive shouldn’t add
to the burden of a busy day. Optional front
and standard rear parking sensors enable
you to manoeuvre safely and quickly into
the tightest spots, fully aware of hidden
obstacles. Rear parking sensors are also
optional on VTR+ models.
INTELLIGENT TRACTION
CONTROL SYSTEM
Citroën’s unique new Intelligent Traction
Control System, standard on all Citroën
C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso manual
and EGS models, helps you get safely where
you need to go. It means even more dynamic
road handling, active safety on sliding
surfaces and impeccable steering. The
Intelligent Traction Control System regulates
each driving wheel independently in snow,
ice, and rain giving the Citroën C4 Picasso
and Grand C4 Picasso improved traction in
difcult conditions.
ALWAYS ON COURSE
Citroën’s cutting edge Lane Departure Warning
System (LDWS) as part of the optional
Detection Pack on Exclusive models works
at speeds above 50mph. By using infra-red
sensors, this ingenious system detects any
crossing of white lines. If the car drifts out
of lane without the indicators being used,
vibration is felt through the left or right side of
the driver’s seat, depending on the direction of
drift. It’s a simple, inspired way of letting you
know that corrective action is needed.
SOME ASSISTANCE
Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso
are tted with a Hill Start Assist function that
helps the driver to set off or manoeuvre on
gradients. When the brake pedal is released,
the ESP automatically maintains a stationary
position for up to two seconds, offering the
driver the time to move their foot from the
brake to the accelerator without the vehicle
moving forwards or backwards on a slope.

FIXED-CENTRED CONTROLS
STEERING WHEEL
A Citroën innovation that makes for safer driving in every
way. Whilst the rim of the steering wheel turns normally, the
centre hub remains static which means that all the audio,
information and driving controls operated from here stay
in exactly the same place. It also means that the driver’s
airbag can be specially sculpted to deploy more favourably
than the round ones necessary in cars with conventional
steering wheels.
MYWAY COLOUR
SATELLITE NAVIGATION
MyWay is completely integrated into the vehicle which
avoids the risk of theft. The design has been created for
ease of use and with steering wheel controls, navigating
from your phone to the satellite navigation couldn’t be
any easier.
MyWay allows you to dene routes, stops and places of
interest with the added benet of vocal instruction. MyWay
also provides live trafc updates of any congestion spots
or delays.
A GPS integrated aerial is built into the vehicle, to
maximise the reception of satellite information; therefore
permitting an accurate location of the car.
BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM WITH
USB BOX
Integrated Bluetooth® hands-free phone function with
dashboard-integrated USB socket and jack to plug in
a portable MP3 player. Menu navigation and music
selection via steering-mounted and dashboard radio
controls, with song titles displayed on the radio screen.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
SYSTEM (LDWS)
When the Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso are
travelling at speeds in excess of 50mph infrared sensors
at the front of the car detect the white lines on the road.
If the car starts to cross a white line without the indicator
being on the driver is alerted by the vibration device built
into his seat.
XENON DUAL-FUNCTION
DIRECTIONAL HEADLAMPS
WITH CORNERING LIGHTS
A dynamic AFS with lamps that respond to the steering,
adjusting the direction of the beam in the direction of the
turn by up to 15 degrees. These headlamps contain a
directional twin xenon elliptical module for use in the dipped
and full-beam positions, and a complex surface “long-range”
halogen unit for full-beam only. This combined assembly
delivers an extremely high level of forward visibility.
HIGH-PRESSURE DIRECT
INJECTION DIESEL ENGINE
Our HDi diesel engines operate with the fuel under
extremely high pressure, enabling microscopically precise
injection control. With this level of management it’s possible
to inject at different times during the same engine stroke
allowing total control over the combustion process. This
has allowed our engineers to reduce carbon monoxide
emissions by 40%, unburned hydrocarbons by 50% and
engine particulates by 60%. Fuel consumption is 20%
lower than a prechamber diesel engine, resulting in an
equivalent reduction in CO
torque available at low engine speed it could be argued that
driveability is now better than in petrol engined cars.

DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER
SYSTEM (DPFS)
Our unique DPFS collects exhaust particulates (soot)
that would have been bound for the air around us and
burns them off at 550 degrees C. This means that ‘black
smoke’ is eliminated completely. And because the lter is
constantly burning the particulates it is self-cleaning and
requires no maintenance.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKING
SYSTEM (ABS)
Computer-controlled braking assistance designed to prevent
the wheels from locking under extreme braking. This
enables the car to continue being steered and therefore
controlled during this braking incident. Citroën C4 Picasso
and Grand C4 Picasso’s ABS system is further enhanced
with EBA and EBD (see below).
ELECTRONIC BRAKEFORCE
DISTRIBUTION (EBD)
A conventional ABS system cannot account for any of the
four wheels wanting to lock more quickly than the others
(for example, two of the wheels may be on snow and two
on tarmac). EBD reads the deceleration rate of each wheel
individually and applies the ABS principles accordingly.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
ASSISTANCE (EBA)
As drivers we nd it difcult to instinctively brake very hard, but
this is often what is needed in those rare emergency situations.
The EBA system recognises our ‘attempt’ to brake hard and in
combination with the ABS and EBD systems instantly applies
the maximum stopping power possible.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY
PROGRAMME (ESP)
This is computer-controlled traction assistance and is
provided primarily through the braking systems. The ESP’s
control unit constantly compares where the driver intends
going (through the position of the steering wheel) with where
the vehicle is actually going and, if necessary, makes speed
corrections to each wheel individually through braking or
engine torque to keep the vehicle ‘in line’.
ELECTRONIC GEARBOX
SYSTEM (EGS)
A revolutionary alternative to conventional gearboxes,
Citroën’s innovative EGS allows you to operate in either
‘manual’ or ‘automatic’ modes. ‘Manual’ gear shifts
are made using the paddles by the steering wheel, or
the sequential lever. In ‘automatic’ mode the gearbox
will control gear change for you, maximising your drive
comfort and optimising fuel consumption – to the order of
3 to 5% lower than a conventional manual gearbox, also
helped by a sixth gear.
ISOFIX
A standardised and more simple method for installing
child seats, each seat is ‘clicked’ into place via a
three point system. On Citroën C4 Picasso and
Grand C4 Picasso’s Isox is installed on the two outer
rear seats.
