GUIDE
1. CONFIRM CELL
SIGNAL
Confirm a consistent cell
signal at the installation site
with the desired behavior.
LiftMaster recommends:
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile; and
Bell, Rogers, and Telus in
Canada.
2. SIGN UP FOR DATA PLAN
Bring the CAPCELL modem to the desired cellular
carrier store and ask for a data package.
CAPXL recommended data plan/month: 3 GB or
more
CAP2D recommended data plan/month: 1 GB or
more
Insert SIM card into SIM Card Slot and connect
power.
When SIM is active, Power, Internet, and Wi-Fi®
LEDs will be green.
NOTE: Internet LED may take up to a minute to turn
green at CAPCELL power up.
INSTAL
4. INSTALL CAPCELL
Install CAPCELL in a dry, indoor location or in a
NEMA 4 or better enclosure near the CAPXL or
CAP2D.
NOTE: Do not install inside of CAPXL. Intermittent
unreliable connection will result.
5. CONNECT POWER
Connect Power using the
provided transformer.
3. CONNECT ANTENNAS
Connect the 4G/LTE Primary and secondary antennas.
If using Wi-Fi, connect the primary and secondary Wi-Fi
antennas.

6. CONNECT TO CAPXL OR CAP2D
A) Wired connection:
Connect a Cat 5 or better cable with RJ-45 connectors from the
#1 LAN port on the CAPCELL to the LAN port on the CAPXL or
CAP2D. LAN LED will turn green when connection is active.
NOTE: Cat 5 cable length must not exceed 325 feet (99 m).
The blue WAN port should not be used for CAPXL or CAP2D.

7. CONFIRM PROPER OPERATION
Confirm proper operation with CAPXL and CAP2D, and confirm online status in
LiftMaster Cloud.

B) Wi-Fi connection (CAPXL only):
From the CAPXL Admin mode, select the CAPCELL network and
Power#1 LAN Port
enter the network password.
NOTE: Wi-Fi network name is “LiftMaster###”, where ### is the
last three digits of the MAC address of the CAPCELL modem.
Default Wi-Fi password is “LM” followed by the MAC address
of the CAPCELL modem. The MAC Address is printed on the
carton and the bottom of the CAPCELL modem in the format,
XX:YY:ZZ:11:22:33. For example, the Wi-Fi password would be
“LMXXYYZZ112233”. The password is case sensitive.

2. S’INSCRIRE À UN PLAN DE
DONNÉES
Apporter le modem CAPCELL au magasin du
fournisseur de service cellulaire désiré et demander
un forfait de données,
CAPXL recommande le plan de données/forfait
mensuel : 3 Go ou plus
CAP2D recommande le plan de données/forfait
mensuel : 1 Go ou plus
Insérer la carte sim dans la fente pour carte sim et
brancher l’alimentation.
Lorsque la carte SIM est activée, les témoins à DEL
d’alimentation, d’Internet et du Wi-Fi® seront allumés
en vert.
REMARQUE : Le témoin à DEL d’Internet peut prendre
jusqu’à une minute avant de virer au vert lors de la
mise sous tension du CAPCELL.

4. INSTALLER LE CAPCELL
Installer le CAPCELL à l’intérieur dans un lieu sec ou
dans une enceinte homologuée nema 4 ou supérieure
à proximité du CAPXL ou CAP2D.
REMARQUE: Ne pas installer à l’intérieur du CAPXL.
Il en résultera une connexion intermittente et non
fiable.
5. CONNECTER
L’ALIMENTATION
Connecter l’alimentation avec le
transformateur fourni.
3. CONNECTER LES ANTENNES
Connecter les antennes 4g/lte primaire et secondaire.
Si le Wi-Fi est utilisé, connecter les antennes Wi-Fi primaire et
secondaire.

6. CONNECTER AU CAPXL OU CAP2D
A) Connexion câblée :
Connecter un câble Cat 5 ou supérieur aux connecteurs RJ-45
du port LAN no 1 sur le CAPCELL au port LAN sur le CAPXL
ou CAP2D. La DEL du port LAN s’allumera en vert lorsque la
connexion est activée.
REMARQUE: La longueur du câble Cat 5 ne doit pas dépasser
99 m (325 pi). Le port WAN bleu ne doit pas être utilisé pour le
CAPXL ou CAP2D.

7. CONFIRMER LE BON FONCTIONNEMENT
Confirmer le bon fonctionnement avec le CAPXL et le CAP2D, et confirmer le
statut en ligne dans LiftMaster Cloud.

Du mode d’administration CAPXL, sélectionner le réseau
CAPCELL et saisir le mot de passe du réseau.
REMARQUE: Le nom du réseau Wi-Fi est « LiftMaster### » où
AlimentationPort LAN no 1
### représente les trois derniers chiffres de l’adresse MAC du
modem CAPCELL. Le mot de passe Wi-Fi par défaut est « LM »
suivi de l’adresse MAC du modem CAPCELL. L’adresse MAC est
imprimée sur la boîte et au bas du modem CAPCELL au format
XX:YY:ZZ:11:22:33. Par exemple, le mot de passe Wi-Fi serait
« LMXXYYZZ112233 ». Le mot de passe est sensible à la casse.
