Inserting the SIM
The Cat S75 is a dual SIM phone. In order to use the handset as a
regular smartphone you will need to insert your own network SIM into
the first slot. However, this is not necessary if you only wish to test
the satellite messaging feature as this only requires the Satellite SIM
that’s provided and already in the phone's second SIM slot.
This Satellite SIM should be fitted into SIM card slot 1 on the handset

and check-ins (see Check-In section below).
HOW-TO GUIDE

Tap and swipe this button and your pre-configured check in contact will be sent
your location details along with a short pre-set text message of your choice.
Location details are shared in the longitude and latitude format, generating a link
that can be opened and plotted in map applications.
This feature will drop a pin on a virtual map at pre-set intervals, enabling your
location to be monitored by nominated contacts.
Users can start tracking sessions for variable durations up to 48 hours, and select
location update intervals from every few minutes to several hours.

It is essential that you test this service in an outdoor, open space that is away from
sources of signal interference (buildings, cellular masts, overhead power lines etc).
If you are in a location that has cellular network service, please follow the below
steps to switch to Satellite Only mode. If you are in a location without cellular
service, please skip the next section as your device can remain in the default
'Satellite When Needed' mode.
NOTE: TO USE THE SATELLITE SERVICE IN EUROPE, YOU MUST HAVE A
DIRECT VIEW OF THE SOUTHERN SKY.
Turning on satellite functionality
Using the service **Service plan options
Across the bottom of the app screen you will see several icons. These are all
individual features of the service that can be used over and Internet or a satellite
connection.
Message
Like a standard messaging service, you can send and receive messages to your
phone contacts. You can also add your location to messages if required.
commercially available at launch:
Open Android Settings, got to Network and Internet, and tap Satellite Mode.
Ensure satellite is on – we recommend selecting ‘Satellite When Needed’ for
general use. ‘Satellite Only’ mode will disconnect your device from cellular and
Wi-Fi, but can be useful for a demonstrating or testing satellite functionality.
Establishing and checking
your satellite connection
Open Bullitt Satellite Messenger app.
In the top right corner, there is an icon that shows your satellite connection.
This will be green when connected.
Tap this icon. This will show you the direction of the nearest satellite and, when
a satellite signal is detected, the strength of that signal. Follow the on-screen
prompts to allow the device to establish a satellite connection.
If signal interference is detected, you will see an orange icon and on-screen
advice, suggesting you may need to move away from obstructions or other
sources of interference in order to establish a satellite connection.
When in a good location, the handset should connect to the satellite within
approximately 30-60 seconds. The connection icon will turn green and the 'Bullitt'
icon in the notification bar at the top of the screen will show solid white.
You can now send and receive messages over satellite from the Bullitt
Satellite Messenger app.
Once a message has been successfully sent a tick will appear.
