Introduction
This supplemental manual will act as a guide for college students in mathematics and
engineering who need help with certain functions of the calculator. Students will find this
helpful if they are struggling to calculate Log bases and Trigonometric calculations which
they will eventually encounter. A manual such as this one will assist you in these particular
functions. Overall this supplemental manual will insure you to solve these functions faster
after using this manual.

Logarithmic Bases
In this part you will be show how to calculate basic log bases.
Log base 10
Log base ten is the normal function of the calculator when you push the button.
Pushing the buttons in this order:
Will result in the follow:
This is the basic function. You will be able to enter other numbers and equations after Log
and come up with different solutions for base ten.

Log base a,b
Finding this function on the calculator takes several keystrokes. The following keystrokes
will enable you to do other log bases other than 10.
The following figure is what you get after pushing the buttons.
You have done a log base 5 calculation. You are able to modify what is in the parentheses
and after comma. You are also able to add any combination of equations after the
parentheses.

Trigonometric Functions
With trigonometric functions you will be able to calculate the angles of any triangle.
Basic Trigonometric
The basic trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent) are easy enough to find on the
calculator.
The figure next to each button sequence is the result for basic trigonometric functions.

Inverse Functions
Secant
Cosecant
Cotangent
Finding the inverse of a trigonometric function is easy with the fx9750-GII. All that is need
to to is push the shift button.
After hitting the shift button, then push either sin, cos, or tan following by any sequencs of
numbers or equations desired.
Secant, Cosecant, Cotangent
Finding these functions on the fx9750-GII is impossible as they are not in the calculator.
Although, you can still perform these particular actions on the calculator with very little
effort if you know what to do.
To find secant, cosecant and cotangent on the fx9750-GII all you have to do is calculate the
reciprical of sine, cosine, and tangent
This is how you find secant, cosecant, and cotangent. If they are in an equation be sure to
surround the secant, cosecant, or cotangent in parentheses to ensure proper calculations.

Trouble Shooting
Unfortunately there is little troubleshooting that can be accomplished.
The best option you can do is clear the screen by pressing the AC button and re-enter all
information again.
