iW Prepress Manager (iW PPM) is a fast and flexible tool for creating, editing
and publishing documents. Easy to learn and simple to use, yet powerful,
enabling common pre-press functions to be performed within a single user
interface. It supports variable printing of text and images in documents.
iW Print Job Manager adds further print automation and advanced job
management capabilities to iW PPM when connected to Canon devices
which support JDF.

Easy document creation – all pre-press, printing
and finishing functions, from document scanning
to final output can be controlled via a single screen.
Importing documents into iW PPM is simple –
just ‘drag and drop’ the document file icons from
Windows. Almost any document types and formats
can be imported into Prepress Manager, including
scanned pages, graphics files and Microsoft Office
documents.
Fast, user-friendly document previews – iW PPM
combines rich professional functionality with an
intuitive user interface. Complex print layout
adjustments can be made quickly and instant
confirmation received through thumbnail previews.
Innovative document creation features –
iW Prepress Manager includes a unique spine
creation facility that greatly simplies and speeds up
the process of creating perfect bound documents.
Powerful editing capabilities – with the advanced
editing features available, it is possible to perform
extensive document content editing whilst
preserving the document’s original layout. These
features include the ability to add or move text and
images within an imported document; create tabbed
dividers with text; and manipulate scanned content
using an integral image editing application.
Adding value with variable data – by utilizing
the variable print function, the ability to deliver
unique content (images and text) on every page

Data validation is fast and simple with the facility
to preview all records on-screen before printing,

Support for in-line and off-line finishing – a variety
of document imposition options, custom media size
selection and flexibility to add Printer’s Marks allows
work to be prepared for a variety of print devices
while also supporting off-line cutting and binding
functions.
Suitable for all levels of user – iW PPM can
automatically calculate printing and finishing settings
for perfect bound and saddle stitched documents,
whilst more advanced users can configure these
settings manually if required. This enables operators
with all levels of experience and print knowledge to
use the software with optimal effectiveness.
Connectivity – strong scanner and printer connectivity
is provided that fully utilizes the advanced functions
of Canon iR, CLC and imagePRESS production
printing systems. Support for equipment from other
vendors is provided via PDF and JDF import and
export functions. Document archive and retrieval is
quick and easy with integration to iW Document
Manager, providing the facility to save and retrieve
digital images and documents when required.
