[1] Claws used to attach the developing unit
<Cause>
There are cases where the drum unit claws used to attach the developing unit are leaning inside. If P kit is drawn
out from the main unit in this case, one of the pressure arms is accidentally disconnected, detaching the
developing unit from the drum unit on the skew. Further, und ue force is app lied to th e drum uni t claw t hat the
pressure arm is still attached at this time, leading to broken of the claw.

<Factory Measure>
The shape of the pressure arms is changed and the shape circled in red in the fig. below is newly added to prevent
the developing unit from being detached from the drum unit even when the drum unit claws are leaning inside.

Service Work:
Even if the drum unit has the previous-type pressure arms, the following steps can prevent the drum unit claws
[1] from being broken when P kit is drawn out from the main unit.
1.Draw out P kit from the main unit slowly.
2.Stop drawing it out when light blue areas ("PUSH" is written) of the pressure arms appear, and check to see
if both pressure arms are properly attached.
(As shown in the fig. below, metallic shafts are found at both edges of the light blue area if the pressure arm is
not properly attached.)
