DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CASSETTE FEEDING UNIT-R1/S1 AND CASSETTE FEEDING
UNIT-L1/M1

The Cassette Feeding Unit-R1/S1 scheduled for introduction is based on the Cassette Feeding Unit­L1/M1, with the diff erences discussed herein.

1. Major Differences



To accommodate the increase in the process speed in its host copiers, the pickup PCB, pickup motor,
pickup ro ll er do wn so le no id, and v er ti ca l pa th r o lle r cl utch ha v e be en m o dif ie d to i ncr ea se
pickup/feeding speed.



Each cassett e ho lder is pr o vi ded wi th a pi ck up senso r ( r etr y sensor) .
The pickup sensor is used to detect a delay in the arrival of paper, initiating a pickup retry operation
upon detect io n o f a del ay.
In a pickup retry operation, pickup operation is started once again. If a delay is detected for a second
time, pic k up is sto ppe d, a nd a Ja m i ndica to r (m essa g e) is t urne d on.
