integrated 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet Card for seamless

Full Frontal Operation
The HL-4040CN and HL-4050CDN are designed for full
frontal operation. This means that changing of consumables
and loading of paper are all done through the front of the
printer, giving you a greater level of convenience.
Sleep Time
Save power by manually setting the sleep time of your printer
on the printer driver, or select ‘auto’ to let the printer’s intelligent
sleep function analyse the printing frequency and time to
determine the most appropriate time to activate sleep mode.
Print Directly from USB or PictBridge
Compatible Cameras
The built-in USB interface lets you send files# for printing
directly from USB media devices like portable hard disks and
flash thumb drives. The printers’ PictBridge compatibility
means you can also send photos from your digital camera to
the printers for direct printing.

Direct Print supports the following file formats – PDF ver. 1.6, JPEG, Exit+JPEG,
PRN and TIFF.
Toner Save Function
You can select Toner Save Mode for printing draft documents,
so as to reduce toner usage for non-important printouts.
Automatic Duplex Printing*
Maximise your resources with the HL-4050CDN’s built-in
duplex function. This feature lets you produce professional
looking double-sided reports quickly and easily without
compromising on print speed. Double-sided booklet printing
option also allows you to print your 24 page document on 6
sheets (A5, doubled-sided) rather than on 24 one-sided sheets,
reducing paper wastage by 75%.
Connect and print photos directly from your PictBridge-enabled camera
Lock Colour Usage
The Lock Colour Usage feature in both the HL-4040CN and
HL-4050CDN allows administrators to prevent unauthorised
colour printing.
