BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

Dispose of the old batteries properly. Do not dispose of the old batteries in a fire.

Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately.

The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge or disassemble the batteries.

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

1.Remove the BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER.

2.Insert two AA batteries (not included) according to polarity indicators inside the compartment.

3.Replace the BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER.

You can program the remote control manually or automatically to work with your TV, VCR, DVD player, Satellite, Cable or Audio equipment.

Manual Programming

1.Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2.Locate a 3-digit code for your device. Refer to the Code List on pp 9-61.

3.Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control

(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) for approximately three seconds. The POWER INDICATOR illuminates.

4.Enter the 3-digit code for your device within 30 seconds. The POWER INDICATOR shuts off.

5.Press to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, the code was entered correctly. If the device does not shut off, repeat steps 3-4, using a different code located on the Code List.

Automatic Programming

With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1.Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2.Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control

(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode.

3.Press and release . The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4.Press CHANNEL or CHANNEL repeatedly until the device turns on.

5.When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:

To exit without storing the code, press BACK.

The unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press CHANNEL or CHANNEL after the device turns on.

6.Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.
