Before use
Please read the user instructions carefully
and completely before using the appliance and retain for future reference. Remove all packaging and labels and dispose them appropriately.
Caution
The blades are very sharp! To avoid injuries, please handle
blades with utmost care.
Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
This appliance shall not be used by children.
Children shall be kept away from the appliance and its main cord.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Always switch off and unplug the appliance when it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, cleaning and storing.
Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
Caution: Ensure the complete lid is placed on the jug before starting into operation.
Before plugging into a socket, check whether your voltage corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.
This appliance is designed for household use only and for processing normal household quantities.
Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than the intended use described in the user manual. Any misuse may cause potential injury.
Do not use any part in the microwave.
Please clean all parts before first use or as required, following the instructions in the Care and Cleaning section.
Always operate the blender with the lid or the guard in position as indicated in the instructions.
Never put your hand in jar when it is placed on the base unit. If food needs to be pushed down use suitable tool e.g. spatula.
Important: Keep all packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam) away from children.
Do not use the device without any load in the jug.
Do not store food or liquids in the jug.
Avoid bumping or dropping the blender when in operation or at any time.
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switch­ing device, such as a timer, or con­nected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

Before First Use
Clean all parts before using the blender for the first time – refer to «Care and Cleaning».
(C) Chopper Attachment
The chopper attachment is perfectly suited for chopping vegetables, hard cheese, onions, herbs, meat and nuts. For detailed processing instructions refer to table III.
The chopper attachment can also be used to make a pancake stuffing or spread. Fill the chopper with 100 g pitted prunes and pulse for 1 second.
(D) Grinder Attachment
The grinder attachment is perfectly suited for grinding dry ingredients. For detailed processing instructions refer to table IV.
Operating Instructions
Caution: Do not blend ingredients hotter than 70°C in the plastic jug and the Smoothie2Go attachment.
(A) Jug
The jug is perfectly suited for
blending smoothies, liquids, sauces, fruit juices and soups
mixing soft ingredients (mayonnaise, pancake batter)
pureeing cooked ingredients (baby food)
For detailed processing instructions refer to table I.
Blending very hot ingredients may result in hot liquid and steam being forced past the lid or measuring cap and cause severe personal injury. When preparing hot foods or liquids make sure that the jug including lid is assembled correctly and do not exceed the maximum quantity shown in table I. If preparing greater amounts, the ingredients must be cooled down to room temperature before processing. Maximum operation time for the jug is 90 seconds at a time. When processing heavy loads let it cool down to room temperature for next operation. The blender is equipped with a motor protection which protects the motor from overheating. If the motor shuts down during the performance, unplug the blender and let it cool down for 30 minutes before continue blending.
(B) Smoothie2Go Attachment
The Smoothie2Go attachment is perfectly suited for preparing drinks and smoothies. For detailed processing instructions refer to table II.
Pulse Mode
The pulse mode can be used to break apart larger pieces of food or to control the texture of food when chopping.
For Best Results
When mixing solid ingredients, cut them up into
small pieces.
• If blending action stops during blending there may be not enough liquid to blend efficiently.
• For preparing small amounts of foodstuff use a low speed level.
• When preparing mayonnaise, oil can be added through the openings between the measuring cap and the lid.

Please do not dispose of the product in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place at a Braun Service Centre or at appropriate collection points provided in your country.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem Potential Causes Solution
Blender does not operate.
Jug is leaking.
Liquid splashing out of the jug.
Plastic jug: Jug is not attached properly.
Glass jug: Jug is not attached properly.
Glass jug: Gasket is loose, or even torn.
Blade assembly is not tightly screwed to the jug.
Jug is overfilled. Check maximum quantity recommendation.
Speed selected is too high. Check speed recommendation.
Check the position of the jug and the lid.
Place the jug with the handle on the right or left side on the power base. Then rotate it until it is fully locked.
Check if gasket is mounted properly and in the right order.
Screw the blade assembly correctly to the jug.
