u POPITs provide individual addresses on the control
panel data expansion circuit
The F220‑B6PM 24 VDC Four-wire Addressable
Multiple Base and F220‑B6PS 12/24 VDC Four-wire
Addressable Single Base, with their built‑in POPITs,
provide individual addresses on the FACP data
expansion circuit. These bases accept the F220 Family
Photoelectric Smoke and Heat Detector Heads. When
using these bases with one of the F220 Detectors,
they provide a Chamber Check trouble indication to
the control panel through the POPIT Bus. The trouble
indication appears at the keypads and annunciators as
a Fire Trouble.
These bases are compatible with addressable systems
controlled by D9412G Series or D7412G Series or
newer control panels with a D8125 POPEX Module and
12 V or 24 V auxiliary power or a D9124 24 V Fire
Alarm Control Panel (FACP).

The F220‑PTHC detects carbon monoxide (CO) as a
component of a fire. It is not a CO detector and cannot
activate an alarm in the presence of CO only.

Mounting
The F220‑B6PM and F220‑B6PS bases mount directly
on single‑gang switch boxes or on four‑inch square or
octagonal back boxes. They can mount directly on a
surface using anchors, mollies, or wing nuts.
Wiring
The B6PS/M bases can accept any solid wire size from
12 AWG to 24 AWG (ISO 4 mm2 to 0.2 mm2). The
minimum wire size required by the bases is
determined by the maximum number of bases used
and the maximum distance from the FACP to the most
remote base. For specific wiring instructions and
