u Highly‑visible LED indicators
u Sensitivity voltage test point
u Easily mounted and wired
Use the D344‑RT Remote test/indicator plate with the:
• D340/D341/D342 Families of Duct smoke housings
• D343 (legacy product) Family Duct smoke housings
• D296/D297 Long‑range beam smoke detectors
The indicator plate has:
• LEDs that indicate the detector's status and condition
• Points to read and test the sensitivity voltage
• A keyed switch that allows remote test and reset of
the detector
Functions
Alarm Testing
Use the operating key to turn the switch to the TEST
position to activate a fire alarm. Turn the switch to
RESET to reset the detectors.
Sensitivity Testing
Connect a standard volt‑ohm meter (VOM) to the
voltage monitor plugs on the remote test kit to check
the detector’s sensitivity level after installation. The
voltage measurement decreases as the signal level
approaches alarm. This is caused by dust or dirt
buildup in the detector head smoke chamber. Refer to
the detector head's installation instructions for the
proper voltage levels.
