Menu items can be selected by turning the
right-hand knob and confirmed by pressing it.
1. Turn the right-hand knob, arrow 1, to select
a menu item, e.g. "TUNER":

To perform a function, press on the left or right
of the function key below it.
If only one function is shown on the display,
press the key at any point, whether at its left,
right or centre.

Listening to the radio with the ignition
switched off
When radio readiness is switched off, the radio
functions remain available for approx. 20 minutes.
Switch the car radio on again if required.
To protect the battery, make sure that the
car radio is switched off when you leave
the car.<
Adjusting the volume
Adjusting the volume for PDC* and
Gong
You can raise or lower the volume of the signal
tones for the PDC and Gong so it is louder than
the volume of the audio sources.
The signal tones have a fixed minimum and
maximum volume that cannot be undercut or
exceeded.
1. Press the key.

Adjusting the speed-dependent
volume
The speed-dependent volume control automatically raises the volume as the car's speed
increases. You can select various stages for the
increase in volume.
1. Press the key.

right-hand knob.
The setting is saved for the remote control currently in use.
As soon as you conduct a phone call via
the hands-free unit, the car radio is auto-
matically muted.<
Adjusting volume for external audio
devices
Your car radio provides scope for connecting an
external audio device, e.g. an MP3 player, and
for reproducing the sound via the car's loudspeakers. You can adjust the volume via the car
radio.
The AUX-In connection required for this is
located in the centre console, see Owner's
Handbook for Vehicle.
To adjust the volume of the external audio
device to the car radio:
