Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions must be read before the product is operated. Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be kept with the product for future reference. Heed warnings - All warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
Follow instructions - All operating and users’ instructions should be followed. Installation - Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Power sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. Grounding or polarization - the product is not required to be grounded. Ensure that the plug is fully inser ted into the wall outlet or extension cord receptacle to prevent blade or pin exposure. Some versions of the product are equipped with a power cord fitted with a polarized alternating line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit onto the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to inser t the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or other products, including amplifiers that produce heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus. Water and moisture - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar). Moving the product - A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn. Unused periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet during lightning storms or when the apparatus is left unused for a long period of time. The only means of completely disconnecting the product from the power supply is by removing the power cord from the wall outlet or the product. The wall outlet or the power cord entry to the product must remain freely accessible at all times while the product is in use. Try to install the product near a wall socket or extension cord and shall be easily accessible. The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C. ESD hints - The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro­Magnetic Interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in other location.

ERP2 (Energy Related Products) note
This product with ecodesign complies with the stage 2 requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) NO. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regard to standby and off mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment. After 15 minutes without any audio input, the device will automatically switch into standby mode. Follow up the instruction manual to resume the operation.
This device is equipped with an energy saving mode: if no signal is given during 15 minutes the device will switch automatically into standby mode in order to save energy (ERP 2 standard). Please note that low volume setting in the audio source may be recognized as “no audio signal”: this will affect the capability of signal detection from the device and can also originate an automatic switch into standby mode. If this happens please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting on the audio source player (MP3 player, etc.), in order to resume playback. Please contact the local service center if the problem remains.

Never use the device unsuper vised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this only for a shor t while. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Before operating this system, check the voltage of this system to see if it is identical to the voltage of your local power supply. The unit should not be impeded by covering the ventilation opening with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc. Make sure that there are at least 20 cm of space above and at least 5 cm of space on each side of the unit. The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on the apparatus. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this equipment to hot places, rain, moisture or dust. Do not locate this unit near any water sources e.g. taps, bathtubs, washing machines or swimming pools. Ensure that you place the unit on a dry, stable surface. Do not place this unit close to a strong magnetic field. Do not place the unit on a amplifier or receiver. Do not place this unit in a damp area as the moisture will affect the life of electric components. If the system is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth. When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull on the cord. Depending on the electromagnetic waves used by a television broadcast, if a TV is turned on near this unit while it is also on, lines might appear on the TV screen. Neither this unit nor the TV is malfunctioning. If you see such lines, keep this unit well away from the TV set. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must remain readily operable.

Switching on for the first time
1. Connect the mains plug to a wall outlet.
2. Extend the telescopic aerial as far as it can go. (Note: The quality of the DAB/FM reception will be influenced by the positioning of the aerial.)

3. When you turn on the unit, it will first show the information of our brand. Then on the standby mode it will display the information of time & date. The time and date is updated automatically when you turn on to DAB mode. (Note: if the DAB signal is weak, the unit system may be unable to scan stations or find the DAB signal and the time and date are not activated by DAB mode. Please place the unit on a position with strong DAB signal. You can also adjust the time and date manually, please refer to Page 55 for more operation details.)
4. Press and hold the SLEEP/ STANDBY button to turn the unit to the normal playback status.
General Operation
Standby mode
Press and hold the SLEEP/ STANDBY button to switch the radio into standby mode. To resume normal operation press and hold this button again. Note: When you switch on the unit from standby the last used mode will resume.
Mode Selection
The SOURCE button is for mode selection, there are four modes: USB, SD, DAB and FM, press this button repeatedly to cycle through and choose the mode you want.
Volume Control
The volume knob is to control the volume. To increase volume, adjust the knob to clockwise direction. To decrease volume, adjust the knob to anticlockwise direction.

DAB Operation
Press SOURCE button repeatedly to switch to the DAB mode. During scan mode, the LCD will display a slide bar that indicates the progress of the scan, and the amount of radio stations that have been found so far. Once the scan finished, the radio will play the first alphanumeric station.
Station selection
To listen to the stations that have been found use the PREV/NEXT buttons to cycle through. Each time you press these buttons the unit will skip to the previous or next stored station. Press the ENTER button to activate the station.
Station Scan mode
1. Press the MENU button, then use PREV or NEXT button to find <Station Scan>, press ENTER button.
2. There are several scan modes: Local Scan, Full Scan, Manual Tune.
Local Scan: search the local DAB channels. Full Scan: search all DAB channels.
3. If you choose Local Scan or Full Scan, press ENTER to confirm and it will start scanning.
4. Use the PREV or NEXT button to select Manual Tune, and press ENTER.
5. Use the PREV or NEXT button to cycle through the DAB channels, which are
numbered from 5A to 13F.
6. Now press the ENTER button to enter the ensemble/multiplex you want to search.
The screen will display the first station found in the ensemble/multiplex. Press ENTER button and the first station of the ensemble starts playing.
7. To see which stations are present in the found ensemble/multiplex, just press either
PREV/NEXT buttons. When you have located a station that you would like to listen to, just press the ENTER button to activate it.
Storing station presets
It is possible to store up to 10 of your favorite stations. This will enable you to access your favorite stations quickly & easily. To store a preset station, you must first be listening to the station that you would like to save.
1. Press the PRESET button, the screen will show “ Preset X empty” (if any stations have
been preset before, it will show the station name e.g. “BBC Radio4 3")
2. Press the PREV or NEXT button to select the number you want to store.

To confirm preset, press and hold the ENTER button, then it will show "Preset X saved". For example, if you are listening to BBC World which you want to preset in
no. 5 station: first, press PRESET button, it might show "Preset 1 empty" as there is no preset station. Then, press PREV or NEXT button to find "Preset 5 empty" (if this no. 5 has already a preset a station, you can still preset one new station on it). Press and hold ENTER button, then it will show "Preset 5 saved".

Recalling a station preset
To recall a preset station, press the PRESET button on the unit, it will display the information like following:
The name represents the station, and the NO.3 represents the preseted no.. Press the PREV/ NEXT button to scroll through the previous or next preset station. If the no. 4 does not have any preset station, it will show "Preset 4 empty" If you want to recall the no. 2 preset station, press PREV/NEXT button to select the second preset station, then press ENTER button to confirm recalling.

Ensemble/Multiplex (Group name)
A multiplex/ensemble is a collection of radio stations that are bundled and transmitted on one frequency. There are national and local multiplexes. Local ones contain stations that are specific to that area e.g. MXR West. NOTE: DAB (in opposition to traditional FM) groups together several radio stations and transmits them in one frequency.
Bit rate
This displays the type of broadcast which you are receiving (e.g. mono or stereo) and which bit rate is being used.
DLS (Dynamic Label Segment)
Dynamic label segment is a scrolling message that the broadcaster may include in his transmissions. This message usually includes information like program details.
Program Type
This describes the “style” or “genre” of music that is being broadcast e.g. “Rock” or “Classical”.
Display modes
Every time you press the “INFO” button, the display will cycle through the following display modes: (the information is displayed on the lower segment of the LCD display):

Prune Station
This function can delete a station from the stored station list.
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Use the PREV or NEXT button to find <Main Menu>, then press ENTER button.
3. Press either PREV or NEXT button to find <Prune Station>. There is indication
“Press ‘ENTER’ to Prune station” .
4. If you want to prune the station, do as the indication.
Station Order
This function allows you to change the order of the stored stations.
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Use either PREV or NEXT button to find <Main Menu>, then press the ENTER
button.
3. Press either PREV or NEXT button to find <Station Order>.
4. Use the PREV or NEXT button to choose between Multiplex, Alphanumeric and
Active.
5. Press ENTER to save the setting.
DRC ( Dynamic Range Control)
This allows the radio to reduce the dynamic range of the audio signal. The purpose is to adapt the dynamic range of the audio signal to a noisy listening environment. NOTE: this option may not be available in some DAB stations.
1. Press the MENU button. When the <Station scan> option appears press either PREV or NEXT button to find <Main Menu>. Press ENTER button.
2. Use PREV or NEXT button to find <DRC> and then press the ENTER button.
3. Choose between DRC off, DRC low and DRC high.
4. Press ENTER to save the setting.

FM Operation
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to switch to FM.

Scanning for stations
1. You can scan up or down the frequenc y range manually by pressing the PREV/NEXT
buttons to increase or decrease the frequency in 0.05 MHz steps.
2. You can scan up or down from the current frequency range automatically: press and
hold the PREV or NEXT button to scan backward or scan forward from the current frequency. Once a station is found, it will stop and play that station.
Storing station presets
It is possible to store up to 10 of your favorite stations. This will enable you to access quickly & easily to your favorite stations.
To store a preset station you must first be listening to the station that you would like to save. Then press the PRESET button: the screen will show " Preset X empty" (if any station has been preset before, it will show the station frequency e.g. "100.80MHz 3"). Then you can press the PREV or NEXT button to select the number which you want to store. To confirm preset, press and hold the ENTER button: it will show "Preset X saved".
For example, if you are listening to 88.5MHz which you want to preset in no. 5 station, you can press PRESET button, it might show "Preset 1 empty " as there is no preset station. Use the PREV or NEXT button to find "Preset 5 empty" (if the no. 5 has a preset station, you can still preset one new station there). Press and hold ENTER button: it will show "Preset 5 saved".
Recalling a station preset

The frequency represents the station, and the no. 3 represents the preset number. Press the PREV/NEXT button to scroll through the previous or next preset station. If the no. 4 has not any preset station, it will show as "Preset 4 empty". If you want to recall the no. 2 preset station, press PREV/NEXT button to select the second preset station, then press ENTER button to confirm recalling.
Audio Mode (Stereo/Mono)
Indicates if the broadcast is in Stereo or in Mono audio mode. To specify that a station can be only played in mono or that it can be played in stereo or mono:
1. Press the MENU button and find <Audio Setting>.
2. Press ENTER button. Use the PREV or NEXT button to cycle through the 2 options:
<Mono only> or <Stereo or mono>.
3. Press ENTER button to confirm.
Mono only: plays all stations in mono regardless of the availability of a stereo signal. Stereo or mono: stations might be played in mono or in stereo.

Advanced operation
Factory Reset
Follow the below steps to restore to factory settings (this function does not work in USB or SD mode):
1. Press the button. Use the / button to find < >, then press
the ENTER button.
2. Use PREV/NEXT button to choose <Factory Reset>, then press the ENTER button.
3. Indication "Press 'INFO' To confirm Reset" will be shown on the screen. If you want
to reset, press INFO button to start the reset process. NOTE: once the reset has taken place, you will lose all your stored presets both DAB+ and FM, and the internal DAB registry.
MENU PREV NEXT Main Menu
Program Type
"Classical". If no Program Type has been set by the broadcaster then <No PTY> will be displayed.
This describes the "style" or "genre" of music that is being broadcast e.g. "Rock" or

about the current program. If Radio Text information is not available, then the display will show <No Radio Text>.

Play/Pause
During playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once to pause playback and press it again to resume playback.
Stop
During playback, press the STOP button once to stop playback and resume playback by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Skipping Tracks
Press the NEXT button to listen to the next track on the USB/SD mode. Press the PREV button to listen to the previous track.
Repeat / Random playback
During playback the tracks can be played repeatedly or in a random order. Press INFO button repeatedly to choose between the several options: Random: the tracks will be played in a random order which is different from the original one.
Intro: it will play the first 10 seconds of each track. Repeat One: will repeat playing the current track. Repeat All: will repeat playing all tracks. Note:
USB/SD Operation

2. Press the SOURCE button to cycle through and enter to the desired mode. The unit will detect the device automatically. If the USB or SD devices have not been connected then "NO USB" or "NO SD" will be shown in the screen. Then you can connect the USB or SD card. If one of these devices is found, the radio will start playing automatically.
3. In this external audio mode you can use the function like skip tracks, pause or stop playback. Remark: Plug-in the USB stick directly or use an USB-extension cable which is not longer than 25 cm.
Connect the USB or SD card to the USB or SD Card port on the front panel of the radio.
Note:
1. USB extension cable shall have a max. length of 0,25 m.
2. Depending on the amount of data and media speed, it may take longer for system to
read the contents from the media device. In some cases, reading time may be as long as 60 seconds. This is not a malfunction.
3. Depending on the content some files may not be played or displayed even when they
are in a supported format.
4. The max. supported capacity of USB devices is 32GB and SD max. capacity is 16GB.
Warning: connect your USB device directly to the USB port of the radio. Using an extension cable is not recommended and may cause interference and failure of data transfer.

Basic Setup
In standby mode press MENU button to set time, date, alarms and language. Each time that you press this button, it will turn to each setup page.
Time Setup (only in standby mode)
In standby mode you can make time setting.
1. Press and hold the SLEEP/ button to enter to the Standby mode.
2. Press MENU button to enter Time Setup interface. In this status, you can see
the hour digit flashing. Then you can adjust the Volume knob to set the correct hour time: rotate the knob in clockwise direction to increase numbers, and in opposite direction to decrease.
3. After setting the correct hour time, press ENTER button to confirm. Then the minute
digits will flash and you can set the minute time. The setting method is the same as the hour setting.
4. Press ENTER button to confirm the time setup.
After time setting, you can make date setting. Note: when you press MENU button, and select "Time Auto update" to ON, the clock time will update automatically when the DAB signal is available; if you select OFF, the unit will show the manual time setting.
5. After you press the ENTER button to confirm time setup, you can see the year time
digits flashing, and you can adjust it with the Volume knob. The method is the same as for Hour setting.
6. After setting the correct year, press ENTER button to confirm. Then the month digits
will flash and you can set the month time. The setting method is the same as the Hour setting. Press ENTER button to confirm. Then you can set the day: the method is the same as above operation.
7. Press ENTER button to confirm the date setup.
Alarm Setup (only in standby mode)
In standby mode, you can make alarms setting. The alarms will turn on the unit in the mode that you have selected.
1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to enter in the Alarm Setup interface. There are
two alarms.
2. In the alarm setting interface, you can see "Alarm 1 status", and option ON will flash:
adjust the Volume knob in any direction to choose ON or OFF and press ENTER button to confirm your choice.
3. Then you are required to set the alarm time: first the hour digits flash and the setting
method is the same as in Time Setup.
4. After setting, press ENTER button to confirm. Afterwards you can set the frequency
of Alarm. There are several choices: Once, Daily, Weekdays and Weekends. Adjust the volume knob to set your choice and press ENTER button to confirm.
5. Press ENTER button and you can set the mode which the unit will be on when the
alarm time is activated. You can choose Buzzer (audible signal), FM, DAB, SD or USB. If you choose FM, DAB, SD or USB you have to set the volume: the Volume setup indication appears. Use the Volume knob to adjust the desired volume level and press ENTER button to confirm.

6. If you choose the alarm mode FM, DAB, SD or USB the unit will
turn on to the corresponding mode and will start playback in that setting volume. Note: after setting, the alarm logo will be shown on the screen. Then you can set the second alarm: press the MENU button repeatedly to the "Alarm 2 Status". The method of Alarm 2 setting is the same as Alarm 1.
Deactivate the alarm
To deactivate the alarm please follow the below steps:
1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to enter Alarm Setup inter face.
2. You can see "Alarm 1 status": adjust the Volume knob to choose OFF and press
ENTER button to confirm.
Note: if you set the same time for Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 the Alarm 1 is the priority ring.
Snooze Time
When you choose BUZZER you will hear an audible signal and you can activate the Snooze mode to delay the alarm for 3 minutes. When the alarm is ringing, adjust the volume knob to any direction: the audible signal will be off and the alarm will repeat after 3 minutes. You can delay it for another 3 minutes by adjusting the volume knob after the alarm starts ringing. To cancel the alarm: press the ENTER button once or press and hold the SLEEP/ button. NOTE: during the delayed 3 minutes, if you press and hold the SLEEP/ button to switch between standby or normal playback mode, the alarm will be canceled.
Alarm in normal playback status
After setting a alarm with Buzzer mode, you can turn the unit to the normal playback status. When the alarm is ringing and the normal playback pauses, then you can adjust the volume knob to delay 3 minutes or you can press the ENTER button to cancel the alarm.
Language Setup
You can set the language in Standby mode:
1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to the Language setup interface.
2. You can see Language: English. Adjust the Volume knob in any direction to choose
between English or Deutsch.
3. Press ENTER button to confirm.
Sleep time Setup (Not in standby mode)
This setting is to set the time when the unit will switch automatically in the standby status.
1. Press the SLEEP/ button repeatedly to choose between different time periods:
sleep off, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 120 minutes.
2. If you want to select 10 minutes sleep time just use the SLEEP/ button to c ycle
through this option: do not touch any buttons for a few seconds, it will return to the normal playing status and this setting will be saved.
3. When the set time is reached, the unit will switch to the standby mode.
4. To resume normal playback status, press and hold SLEEP/ button.
