VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM
System Operation
ARMING OPERATION
To arm the system press transmitter button 1:
• The siren will chirp once.
• The parking lights will flash once.*
• The starter will be disabled.*
• The LED will start flashing slowly. After 10 seconds the shock sensor is armed.
After Arming, if the system detects a bad sensor or an open door, the siren will chirp 4 times.
While Armed, the system will trigger if:
• The doors are opened.
• The shock sensor detects an impact.
When triggered, the siren will sound and the parking lights will flash. If the shock sensor detects a light impact, the siren will chirp 5 times to warn away the potential intruder.
*Optional Feature
PASSIVE ARMING with AUTO REARM
The Passive Arming feature arms the system automatically without user intervention and also provides an Automatic Rearm feature to protect against accidentally disarming the system. Upon disarming, the system to automatically re-arm itself
if a door is not opened within 30 seconds. If the Passive Door Locking feature is programmed, the doors will also relock. This feature may be enabled
during installation.
To arm the system passively:
1. Turn the ignition key off.
2. Exit the vehicle and close all doors.
• The LED flashes rapidly indicating that the system is preparing to arm. (The system can be armed at any time by pressing transmitter button 1.)
• The siren will chirp 30 seconds after the last door is closed to indicate the system is now armed.
• The doors will lock.
If the Passive Locking feature was enabled during
installation.
TWO-STEP DISARMING OPERATION
This system is equipped with a 2-step disarm feature. If the alarm actively sounding, pressing button 1 will reset the siren and leave the system armed. If the alarm is not sounding,pressing button 1will disarm the system and:
• The siren will chirp twice.
• The parking lights will flash twice.
• The doors will unlock.
• The starter defeat will disengage.
TAMPER ALERT
If the alarm was triggered while away from the vehicle, the siren will chirp 4 times and the parking lights will flash 4 times on disarming.
SILENT ARMING/DISARMING
As an option, the system may be silently armed or disarmed by quickly pressing transmitter button 2.
IGNITION LOCK
The optional ignition locking feature automatically locks the doors 10 seconds after the ignition is

turned on, and automatically unlocks when the ignition is turned off. To prevent accidental lockout, ignition lock is bypassed if a door is open.
This feature may be disabled during installation.
EMERGENCY OVERRIDE
If the transmitter becomes lost or fails to operate, the system can be disarmed by using the emergency override feature.
To override the system:
1. Enter the vehicle.
• Because the system is armed, the siren will sound.
2. Turn the ignition key on.
3. Press the Valet switch for 3 seconds.
• The siren will stop sounding.
• Starter defeat bypassed.
VALET MODE
When placed into the Valet Mode the security system will be disabled, but the optional keyless entry and trunk release features will still operate.
To enter or exit the Valet Mode:
1. Be sure the system is disarmed.
2. Turn the ignition key on.
3. Press and hold valet switch for 3 seconds.
• The siren will chirp to confirm mode change.
• The LED will indicate the mode:
LED on solid = Valet Mode LED off = Normal
REMOTE PANIC
In the event of an emergency (PANIC) situation, the system’s siren can be triggered for 30 seconds to attract attention.To activate the Panic Feature,press transmitter button 1 for 3 seconds:
• The siren will sound.
• The parking lights will flash. Press button 1 to exit panic mode and disarm the system. The Panic Feature is
disabled when the
ignition is on.
ANTI-CARJACKING FEATURE
This system is equipped with a user activated Anti­Carjacking feature for increased safety. To activate Anti-Carjacking:
1. Make sure the ignition key is ON.
2. Press transmitter button 1 for 2 seconds.
• The parking lights will flash twice.
• After 40 seconds, the siren will begin chirping.
• After 20 more seconds, the siren will sound continuously, the parking lights will flash, and the starter will be disabled.
• After 60 more seconds, the siren and parking lights will stop, and the starter will remain disabled.
3. Press transmitter button 1 or enter emergency override at any time to disarm Anti-Carjacking feature.
OPTIONAL TRUNK RELEASE
Press button 2 for approximately 2 seconds to open the trunk.
TWO STAGE SHOCK SENSOR BYPASS
There may be times when it is desirable to bypass the shock sensor’s warning chirps or disable the shock sensor completely. To bypass the shock sensor, arm the system then press button 2 within 3 seconds.
1st press = warning chirps disabled 2nd press = shock sensor disabled 3rd press = shock sensor enabled
The siren will chirp 1, 2, or 3 times to indicate the setting. The setting will be retained until the next time the system is armed.
Note: If the system is armed silently, then button 1is used for shock sensor bypass.
