How to update 5000 BIOS in DOS

How to update your system BIOS in DOS mode

Please step by step as following to finish BIOS update

1. Download BIOS zip file.

2. Unzip this BIOS file in your local hard disk folder like C:\TEMP\

3. There will be two files in bios zip file, include flashit.exe and Bios Rom file like CK018.rom

4. Prepare one bootable floppy disk or bootable CD that doesn't include himem.sys and

emm386.exe

5. Using this bootable floppy disk or CD boot to DOS mode

6. Go to the BIOS file folder like C:\TEMP\

7. Key in the command "flashit.exe ck018.rom", after finish bios updated, system will auto

power off.

8. While reboot, press F2 to enter BIOS menu, select "Default Settings" in Exit field and then

click enter button to load bios default setting.

9. Select "Save and Exit" to save bios setting and then exit.

Pay attention:

Burning bios will fail if you have install himem.sys or emm386 in DOS.

You must bypass these two files while burning Bios!!

Note:Bios burning parameter description

/x ->means bypass himem.sys
