HOW TO USE
Este artefacto es para uso doméstico y puede ser enchufado en cualquier toma de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria
doméstica). No use ningúna otra toma de corriente eléctrica.
IMPORTANTE: Nunca obstaculice las rejillas de entrada de aire, pues ello producirá el recalentamiento de la unidad. Si esta
llegara a pasar, el sistema incorporado reducirá la temperatura de la unidad hasta que el obstáculo haya sido removido. Si el
obstáculo no es removido, grandes daños internos pueden ocurrir.
No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Llévelo a un taller eléctrico o devuélvalo al fabricante. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen
en la garantía.
ATENCION ESPECIAL:
Su nuevo aparato ha sido diseñado con un revestimiento protector sobre los carretes calentadores. Cuando se enchufa y se usa
por primera vez, puede salir un poco de humo momentáneamente mientras se caliente este revestimiento. Esto no representa
ningún peligro para el usuario y no significa que su secador esté defectuoso. Cuando lo use por primera vez, deje que el aparato
continúe funcionando hasta que se disipe el humo. Esto debe durar solamente unos 30 segundos.
Para prolongar la vida de su secador, se recomienda ponerlo en la temperatura más fría por unos cuantos segundos antes de
apagarlo.
MODO DE USARSE:
Abra la cubierta transparente presionando las cerraduras y levántela. Luego levante la tapa del compartimento. Saque el gorro
del compartimento para guardar. Adapte la manguera a la gorra introduciendo la conexión de la manguera a la conexión de la
gorra. Esta encajará fácilmente en su lugar (el otro lado de la manguera está adaptada permanentemente al estuche del
secador).
Cuando saque la gorra, asegúrese de sostener las conexiones de la gorra y de la manguera para separarla. Halar cuando está
adaptada a la gorra y/o la manguera podría causar que se rompa.
Cuando el interruptor esté en la posición Apagada (OFF) enchúfelo en la toma de corriente. El cable se guarda en el mismo
compartimiento que la gorra. Coloque la gorra sobre los ruleros, asegurándose que la manguera esté en la parte de atrás de su
cabeza y anude el cable. Seleccione la temperatura que sea más cómoda para usted. Mantenga la gorra arriba de las orejas, ya
que éstas pueden ser sensibles al calor. Deje que el secador se enfríe a la temperatura ambiente antes de guardar la gorra y la
manguera en el compartimento.
NOTA: La cubierta debe permanecer abierta mientras se esté usando la unidad.
SUGERENCIAS PARA SU PEINADO
A diferencia de los secadores de aire convencionales, los cuales usan un alto voltaje para producir aire extremadamente
caliente que pueden dejar su cabello seco, sin brillo y difícil de manejar, su secador de gorra suave usa un voltaje más bajo y un
suave flujo de aire para crear peinados fáciles, suaves y saludables. ¡Usted notará inmediatamente la diferencia!
Aunque muchas veces el secado puede variar de acuerdo al tamaño del cabello (corto, mediano, largo) , textura (delgada,
mediana, abundante) y tamaño/tipo de ruleros y loción para el peinado que se va a usar, si lo hubiera, usando su secador de
gorra suave le dejará las manos libres para otras actividades - leer, escribir, arreglarse sus uñas, etc. - mientras su cabello se va
secando.
TIEMPO APROXIMADO PARA EL SECADO CON RULEROS:
Cabello delgado, delicado, fino 20 a 35 minutos
Cabello mediano 35 a 50 minutos
Cabello grueso, abundante 50 a 65 minutos
1. Usted puede reducir el tiempo de secado, secándoselo vigorosamente con una toalla antes de usar el secador.
2. Si está usando ruleros, tenga en mente que con ruleros grandes usualmente seca más rápido que con los pequeños.
SUGERENCIAS: Si usted usa ruleros, recuerde mientras más pequeños, el rizo es más crespo. Use ruleros pequeños si su cabello
es fino y lacio o si prefiere una apariencia más crespa. Ruleros más grandes le dan al cabello una voluminosa y brillante
apariencia, especialmente si es de mediano a largo y tiene rizos naturales. Asegúrese de enrollar su cabello por lo menos una
vuelta y media al rulero, de lo contrario, puede obtener solamente un "doblado" en su cabello.
Para evitar un estilo "volado" causado por mucha estática eléctrica en su cabello, asegúrese de bajar la temperatura a su
secador conforme vaya secándose el cabello. Deje su cabello en la posición Alta (HI) no más de 10 a 15 minutos; luego reduzca a
la posición Baja (LO) hasta que se haya secado.
USOS ESPECIALES DE SU SECADOR DE GORRA SUAVE:
Para tratamientos de acondicionamiento: Después que se haya lavado el cabello y enjuagado y acondicionador haya sido
aplicado, cubra primero el cabello con una capa de plástico o bolsa, luego con la gorra. Seleccione el secador en la posición
Alta (HI) por 15 a 20 minutos y deje que el acondicionador penetre profundamente en su cabello.
Para el secado por secciones: Usted puede usar la manguera flexible sin la gorra para secar áreas específicas simplemente
dirigiendo la manguera al área que desea secar mientras deja que el resto de su cabello se seca naturalmente. Luego, si desea,
use una tenaza para rizar o cepillo para peinados.
Para secar cabellos con permanente: Usando un secador de gorra suave, le ayudará a evitar encrespados, opacos o cualquier
otro aspecto que muchas veces ocurre cuando el cabello con permanente es secado con secador de aire. Para un aspecto
suave y natural, lávese el cabello y ármelo con ruleros. Después seque el cabello con un secador de gorra suave.
COMO USAR
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance
should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service Department or to an authorized service
representative.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the
appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR
STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified person in
order to avoid a hazard.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use
any other electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT:
Never block air intake grille, as this will cause the unit to overheat. Should this happen, the built-in safety system will reduce
the temperature from the unit until the obstruction is removed. If the obstruction is not removed, extensive internal damage
may occur.
Do not try to repair it yourself. Take it to an electrical service facility, or return it to the manufacturer. See warranty for
instructions.
SPECIAL ATTENTION:
Your new appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operating for the first
time, there may be a little momentary smoking while this coating is initially heated. This represents no danger to the user and
does not indicate a defect in your dryer. When using for the first time, allow tha appliance to continue running until the smoke
dissipates. This should last only about 30 seconds.
To extend the life of your dryer, it is advisable to switch it to the coolest setting for a few seconds before shutting it off.
TO USE:
Open clear cover by pressing on latches and lifting. Then lift storage compartment lid. Remove the bonnet from the storage
compartment. Attach the hose to the bonnet by inserting the hose coupling into the bonnet coupling. It will snap easily into
place (the other end of the hose is permanently attached to the dryer case).
When detaching the bonnet, be sure to hold the bonnet coupling and the hose coupling to pull apart. Pulling while holding the
bonnet and/or hose could cause a tear.
While switch is in the Off position, plug cord into electrical outlet. The cord is stored in the same compartment as the bonnet.
Place the bonnet over your rollers, making certain that the hose attachment is at the back of your head, and adjust the
drawstring. Select the heat setting that is most comfortable for you. Keep bonnet above ears, as they may be sensitive to heat.
Allow dryer to cool to room temperature before replacing bonnet and hose in storage compartment.
NOTE: Clear cover must remain open while unit is operating.
STYLING TIPS
Unlike a conventional blow dryer, which uses a high wattage to produce extremely hot air that can leave hair dry, brittle and
unamanageable, your soft bonnet hair dryer uses a lower wattage and gentle volume of air to create soft, healthy-looking,
easy-to-style hair. You’ll notice the difference immediately!
Although drying times may vary depending upon hair length (short, medium, long), texture (fine, medium, coarse) and size/type
of rollers and styling lotion to be used, if any, using your soft bonnet hair dryer will leave your hands free for other activities -
reading, writing, doing your nails, etc. - while your hair is drying.
APPROXIMATE DRYING TIMES FOR ROLLED HAIR:
Thin, Delicate, Fine-Textured 20-35 min.
Medium-Textured 35-50 min.
Thick, Coarse-Textured 50-65 min.
1. You can reduce drying time somewhat by towel-drying hair vigorously before using your dryer.
2. If you’re using rollers, bear in mind that hair set with large rollers usually dries faster than a small-roller setting.
SETTING TIPS: If you use rollers, remember: the smaller the roller, the tighter the curl. Use small rollers if your hair is fine and
straight or if you want a very curly look. Larger rollers will give hair a full, lustrous appearance, especially if it is medium to long
and has some natural curl. Be sure to roll hair at least one-and-one-half times around roller; otherwise, you may achieve only a
“bend’’ in your hair.
To avoid that “flyaway” look caused by too much static electricity in your hair, be sure to lower the temperature of your dryer as
hair dries. Leave hair on HI setting no longer than 10-15 minutes; then reduce to LOW setting until hair is dry.
SPECIAL USES FOR YOUR SOFT BONNET DRYER:
For conditioning treatments: After hair has been shampooed and rinsed and conditioner has been applied, cover hair first with
a plastic cap or bag, then with dryer bonnet. Set dryer on HI for 15-20 minutes to allow conditioner to penetrate deeply into hair.
For spot drying: You can use the flexible hose without the bonnet to dry specific areas by simply directing hose at the area you
wish to dry while letting the rest of your hair dry naturally. Then use a curling iron or brush to style, if desired.
For drying permed hair: Using a soft bonnet dryer will help you avoid the frizzies and that dried-out, every-which-way look that
sometimes occurs when permed hair is dried with a blow dryer. For a soft and natural look, wash hair, apply conditioner or
styling gel, and set hair on rollers. Then dry hair with soft bonnet dryer.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication for the life of the unit. It contains no user
serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.
WHILE USING: Untwist cord from time to time to avoid tangling.
TO CLEAN: Unplug unit and allow to cool. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any
other liquid to get into the unit. Intake grille must be cleared of any build-up of lint or hair with a small brush.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance and allow to cool. Place hose and bonnet in proper compartment and store in a dry place. Never
store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord, as
it could cause the cord to fray and break.
SERVICE NOTE:
Before returning your unit for service, please make sure the air intake grille is free of lint and hair. If it is not, clean with a small
brush and try to operate the unit again.
