Thank you for show ing your condence in us by purchasing the BEHRINGER DYNAMIC WAH DW400. This eec ts pedal delivers a variety of wah e ects including a Human Voice mode creating an unbelievable “talking” sound. Experience exciting new sounds!
1. Controls
(1) Select t he eect mode via the MODE switch:
UP: Creates a Wah eec t. The lter moves
upwards (from low to high frequencies).
DOWN: Creates a Wah eect. T he lter moves downwards.
SYNTH: A stron ger upward Wah eect with a synth-like resonance lter sound.
HUMAN VOICE: Turns your instrument signal into the so und of a human voice. The sound alters betwe en 2 selectable vowel sounds and a dds slight overdrive.
TEMPO: Auto Wah. Tap in the tempo via foot switch (10) or ex ternal foot switch.
(2) SENS determines the eect sensitivit y,
depending on the input level. In HUM AN VOICE mode, it sele cts the rst vowel. In TEMPO mode, this control has no function.
(3) The MANUAL control determines the wah
eect s’ lowest frequenc y. In HUMAN VOICE mode, it s elects the second vowel. In TEMPO mode, this control has no function.
(4) The DEC AY control determines how quickly the lter is shif ted. In TEMPO mode, you can shape the
LFO wave form from Sine (min) to Square wave (max).

(5) The ¼" TRS EX P/CTL connector can be used to connec t two dierent type s of pedals:
• Use an expression pedal for Wah pedal func tionality (for all mode s).
• Use an external foot switch ins tead of the pedal foot switch ((10)) to tap in th e eect time
(in Tempo mode only).
(6) Use the ¼" TS GTR IN connector to plug in a guit ar. Use either input (6) or (7). (7) Use the ¼" TS BASS IN connec tor to plug in a bass guitar. If you use this input, the lter parameters
are optimized for bass signals. With a cable in input (6), this input has no func tion.
(8) The ¼" TS OUT connector s ends the signal to your amp or other eect s devices.

(9) The ON /BATT LED illuminates when the eect is activated. It also serves as a batter y
level indicator. If the Tap function is active, the LED ashes.
(10) Use the foot switch to activate/deactivate the eec t. When pressing the foot switch 2 seconds
or longer, you can tap in the Auto Wah eec t time (ON/BATT LED ashes).
Use the DC IN connection at the front of the unit to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover. To install or replace the 9 V battery, press the hin ges with a ballpen and remove th e pedal cover. Be careful not to sc ratch the unit.
The DW400 has no On/O switch. It is operable as soon as you insert a plug into the
IN connec tor. Disconnect the plug, if you d on’t use the DW400. In doing so, you c an extend the life time of the bat tery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the underside.
In rare cases interferences of the normal function may appear by external inuence
(e.g. electrostatic discharge), as for example sound disturbances or malfunctions. If this occurs, please turn down the volume on subsequent amp liers and disconnect the input connector briey to restart the application.
2. Safety Instructions
Do not use near water, or install near heat s ources. Use only authorize d attachments/accessories. Do not service produc t yourself. Contact our qualied servicing personnel for servicing or rep airs, especially w hen power supply cord or plug is damaged.
